I have posted before about the 10 lbs. or so that I gained since getting engaged last fall.
Well, this morning I got on the scale and I have gained another two lbs., which means I’ve now gained a total of 14 lbs.
I blame it mostly on how distracted and extra busy I’ve been due to getting married at Christmas, and packing up my apartment and moving in with Darling Husband during the holidays. Plus, things have been crazy stressful at work.
Still, I don’t want to make ANY MORE excuses. My clothes are barely fitting me. If I gain one more ounce, I’ll have to go shopping for another size larger, and that’s NOT going to happen!
I am getting ready to go back on the Weight Watchers program and was wondering if any Weight Watchers bees out there would like to comment on how the program is working for you.
I have done WW in the past, but does anyone have any thoughts on the new program that was rolled out in January? How exactly has it changed?
I am going to do this online since I literally don’t have time to go to the meetings due to my work schedule and priorities at home.
Also too, I would love tips on recipes that are working for you right now. Thanks!!

I’m doing weight watchers. I’m on the points plus program. I’ve lost 20lbs very sloooowly…but I’m learning a lot about what does and doesn’t work for me.
From what I understand the big differences between the old and the new program are:
1. Fruits and veg = 0 points
2. points are determined by a composition of the foods protein, carbs, fat and fiber: not calories.
I like the recipes from http://www.skinnytaste.com

Thank you Ms. Damask!
This morning I discovered that SkinnyTaste has a great Pinterest board. I have been busy re-pinning their crock pot and casserole recipes.
I think for me the biggest shock is going to be steering away from carby snacks high in fat (chips, cookies) and switching back to fruits and veggies. I know it will pay off though!

What Ms. Damask said about the program being differnet. Its really just a new way of calculating points. I did it before years ago and lost 50 pounds. Put it all back on stress eating and lack of motivation. Settling into a relationship. Now with the wedding I am back on and I am down 19 pounds. Its working great for me.
I check weight watchers online for food ideas. Of course pinterest. I get lost there once I find a website I like. If you use WW online you can build your own recipes which I love b/c I tend to try and make at home favorites healthier. Really I mostly cut the crap out of my diet and cut portions but eat normal dinners.

I just wrote a post about this same thing haha
I am joining next Tuesday (meetings). I dont know how the new point system is, I have all the old books from 5 years ago when I joined. And it was easy to follow and I loved it. So I’m excited to see the new program
