I can’t yet. My ering is white gold but my wedding ring will be yellow gold and fits inside the other. Guess I’ll have to wait until it gets made!

@Princess bee:  Thanks Princess!

Are you looking at getting yellow gold?

I wore yellow gold all my life, but tried going with white metals for my first wedding rings. Aside from developing sensitivities to it, it never quite looked as good on me as yellow. I am very, very pale (natural redhead) but warm-toned so yellow (just like earth tones) looks so so much better on me. It actually warms up my skin and makes it look less pasty pale!

I know yellow gold fell out of favour for so many years (coming back a little though) but something about it to me is so classic and inviting.

Pricescope has a couple excellent yellow gold threads in Show Me The Bling that may also give you some inspiration! Try “show me your yellow gold” into the search bar over there.

My rings are yellow gold.  White metals just don’t look good on me.

Mine are yellow gold. Sorry for the huge picture. I like white gold, but for my wedding set, yellow just felt right to me. I really like it’s warmth.

Here’s my e-ring. It’s an antique — FI’s grandmother’s, originally. I’m still looking for a wedding band and having trouble finding anything I really like. The pave styles these days just don’t look right with it, but I’m not sure I want a plain band either.

My ering and wedding band are both 18k yellow gold (the prongs on my ering are platinum)!

I love yellow gold and so does my DH! His band is also yellow gold:

White gold has been popular for several years. I bet we’ll start to see a trend towards yellow gold as brides look for something not like everyone elses.

@RayKay:  I’m totally in love with your set! I love the stacked look. Would love to see a pic on your hand πŸ™‚ And I completely agree with the white gold not looking right on certain skin tones…my original ring was white gold, but ultimately I decided I needed something a bit more on the simple side. So when I changed my ring I opted for yellow gold because it warms up my skin a bit (white gold always made my skin look washed out)

Here’s mine an DH’s wedding rings…mine are yellow gold, his is white gold with yellow gold just on the edges (his was his grandfather’s ring)
