Me! I am 23, just engaged a few weeks ago. We’re only doing a 6-month engagement, so I’ll still be 23 when we’re married. My Fiance is 25.

The only eyebrow-raising that I’ve gotten is over the fact that both of us are still in school (for masters degrees) and we’ve decided not to wait until we finish to get married. There are several reasons for this… we’re religious (Jewish), and so we don’t live together now, and we’ll save SO much money living as a unit; we’ve been together 5 years already and we’re honestly emotionally ready; he’s Canadian and getting married now allows him to get his green card, so it’ll be easier for us to support each other once we graduate, etc. Most people calm down when they realize that we actually HAVE thought through this stuff.

No idea about wedding colors; we probably won’t have any. It’ll be a big fat Orthodox Jewish wedding though, with a mashup of family and friends from Toronto, Washington DC, Chicago, etc all over the spectrum from other observant Jews to athiests. Should be a rockin’ time :).

I’m 20 but it’s pretty common to be married by 21 in my area. All my friends recently got engaged within the past few weeks! My colors are tiffany blue and peach!

Hi! I got engaged at 16 (LOTS of raised eyebrows even though we stated it was to be a seriously long engagement – it was more a promise, if you get me?) and I’m marrying him at 22 πŸ™‚

I was 23 when we got engaged and will be married at 24, i’ve really only had one person say i’m too young and that’s my best friend, but i think she just wants to keep me for herself haha. We’ve been together over 6 years so people were pretty much just waiting for us to get engaged.

I was 24 when we got engaged, 25 now. We received mostly positivity from everyone about the engagment, we’ve been together 3 years and just bought a house together. I think there was 1 or 2 people who were negative…but I think that was more “against marriage” than our age. Our colors are grey, yellow, and purple πŸ™‚

I will be 22 and Fiance will be 23 at the time of our wedding. We haven’t gotten too many comments. A couple months ago, my grandmother looked me in the eye and asked me, “Are you sure you want to do this?” She said she asked my brother the same thing before he got married a couple years ago, also under the age of 25.

Our theme inspiration is vintage and elegant. Main colors are blush & champagne.

Me!  I’ll be a couple months away from 22 and he’ll be a week away from 24.  Like a previous Bee stated, in my culture, we get married young.  I’m on the older side of things compared to many.  Another culture thing that a lot of people are surprised about is the length of engagement.  We wanted a short one, as in REALLY short.  We’re not yet engaged but getting married July 27th most likely.  I’m thinking I’ll have something from six weeks to two months to be engaged.  Which probably sounds crazy to most of you πŸ™‚

I’m 22 and Fiance is 21, we will be 23 and 22 when we get married. The only time we ever get told we’re “too young” is by people we barely know if at all. All the people around us and are important to us are very supportive. Our parent’s were all thilled when we got engaged at 21 and 20.

Our colors are light green, light yellow and light pink. We’re also using a light grey in place of white where we can. Our theme is polka dots.

I had a civil ceremony at 17 and now I am 19 having our formal wedding(:

My whole family and all of our friends supported us but we got looks from people who didn’t know us. I suppose it was weird for my moms coworkers when she would brag. haha!

Our theme is rustic vintage and our colors are turquoise and champange.

DH and I were 25 when we got married last year. I didn’t have any issues then but lately people have been very aggressive with their comments/questioning, especially after getting an attorney position. I get the “you’re MARRIED? And and ATTORNEY?! That’s scary!”. Thanks, thanks a lot people 😐
