Hi I recently bought an antique engagement ring from a seller on etsy and was wondering if anybody else got their rings from etsy. It was much cheaper than buying a ring at my local jewelers! What was your experience? Anybody bought a handmade ring?
Any recommendations, good sellers? Cool store?
feel free to post pics of your lovely rings 🙂
im now on a mission to find a wedding band!

My e-ring and eventual wedding band will be from nodeform on etsy.
Not traditional, but I love her work and could not be happier with my ring.

@kay_thunderbird: We’re going to need you to post a picture 🙂 I didn’t get my e-ring from Etsy but I *strongly* considered it. And, I am in the process of ordering this ring from an Etsy seller as we speak! Love Etsy.

I got my wedding band off of etsy from CJMcKay. I got this, except in a 2mm size with alternating diamonds and blue sapphires. It should be here on Monday.

My Fiance and I had my ring custom made by Laurie Sarah Designs on Etsy! Laurie and her team were amazing to work with. Very accomodating. My ring came out beautiful and I love having something handmade just for me!
Here is my morganite and diamond set in platinum:

My ring is from Wexford Jewelers who have both an Etsy shop as well as brick and mortar store in MI. I think SO ended up buying my ring from their traditional website, but either way I am absolutely in love with it and couldn’t be happier.

Both my e-ring and wedding band are form Etsy, but I don’t know if it’s what you’re looking for… they’re vintage. Excellent price though, for gold! Less than $200 for both together, shipping and sizing and all! (They’re not meant to match, I won’t be wearing them on the same hand).

I did not buy my e-ring from Etsy, but I have had two custom RHRs made by DanielM and he is FANTASTIC, reasonably priced, and so easy to work with.
These are the listings so you can see the other angles and stuff:
https://www.etsy.com/transaction/112866546 and https://www.etsy.com/transaction/80217927
You can look through his sold items to see all the things he’s made for people.
These are some other shops I know people have bought from and liked that I personally like the style of:
I would NOT buy from LaurieSarahDesigns unless you are putting colored melee in, as it looks like she just takes the Chinese ebay settings and sets stones in them and jacks the price up… if you like her stuff or stuff that looks like that, go to Lanbo or Jewelryhoo on ebay. None of it is great quality but I’d never pay the LSD prices for it when I could get it for less than half from the ebay people at the same quality and pay $40 at my jeweler to have him set my stone in it.

@MrsSnowMountain: Thank you! I have seen the color combo before – this is a mint garnet and I see a lot of mint garnets and chrysoberyls being set in rose gold, especially recently – but I had never seen the design exactly like that. I sent DanielM a bunch of different pictures with elements I liked and then basically said “but PRETTIER!” haha.
