I came in about 300 under budget. I didn’t try to spend it elsewhere though, I just looked at it as “yes! maybe I won’t go over budget now!!!”

I was surprised that I came under budget on my dress.  I originally set a maximum price of $500., which is still low for wedding gowns.  I actually ended up paying $250.  I also spent an extra $50 on alterations.

The “extra” $200 just stayed in the budget for anything we went over on, or for any emergencies.

With my dress and veil I came in a total of $500 under budget. The “extra” will probably go towards an officiant, since we budgeted low for that.

Technically I did because I had a max, but with alterations and cleaning it was close to the max. I did have a “would like to level” but surpassed that since I didnt really take into account cleaning and any fixing of the dress.

I never thought to budget for cleaning… which cost a lot.

I did sell the dress which at the end of day put me below budget.

It didnt “go” towards anything. I just tried to get the best deal vs. quality for everything.

I set a budget of $1000.00. My dress cost $199.99 ($220.00 with tax). And I am going to estimate for the bussel and some minor adjustments maybe another $150.00. So all in all, I will be $630.00 under budget!

I was about $1000 but I’m not sure I see it as a way to spend more on something else. Doesn’t really change anything for me.

I paid $599 for a giant ballgown.  My budget was $1k.  Thank god the dress was a sample sale- the original gown was $450 OVER budget!

We’re going to use what’s left after alterations to have a reallly nice engagement shoot with the photographer who is doing our wedding.

I came in about $800 under budget. That money isn’t going towards any specifically right now.

My budget for my wedding dress was $2500, and I ended up paying 1000$.. It was 50% off its sale price.

My original budget was $1500 but I KNEW that I could find something fantastic for less than $1000.  My dress ended up being on clearance/sample sale for $450! So exciting!

I don’t really have “extra” cash just laying around because I blew it out of the water with a venue and photog…so its not like that extra $1000 means anything…boo.
