If you’ve never crocheted anything I wouldn’t start with a bouquet. Making something round can be quite difficult if you’re a complete beginner, and you’d have to know read a crochet pattern, learning the different stiches there are. So if you want to do this you should start practising/learning now.

ETA: is your wedding in April 2016 or 15 months away? Because if you have 15 months you have more time to practice, bit if you have 10 there are a lot of other things you’re going to have to start doing soon.

I had never crocheted before (but I did knit) and I decided to start a baby hat.  It took me 3 months to complete….and it was the same stitch!  I’m much faster now and have even done flowers.  Flowers aren’t difficult, but I don’t think I’d want my first project to be my wedding bouquet.

x3leesa:  I crochet a good amount and had never thought of this. Flowers use pretty basic stitches to crochet so I bet you could do this within a month. I read this post and crocheted a rose in less than 5 minutes but I don’t know how long it would take for the stem. If you really want to do this project check out a local yarn store and see if they have any tutoring times or drop in times.
