I read traditionally that an outer envelope is used when mailing the invitations. Anyone do this? I’m thinking between the invitation, a seperate reception card, RSVP card and a stamped return envelope that it’s already getting bulky? Pics if you have any of your invitations!

Here’s my suite… I didn’t have an inner envelope b/c I did a pocketfold and did an RSVP postcard. My postage was 61 cents per invite… which is the normal for an invitation… sometimes they get up to 64 ccents, but the only time I’ve had that it was a large invitation 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 and was like a booklet for a Non-Profit dinner.

We have a pocketfold we’ll be using, but we’re also sending it in an outer envelope because we’re gonna seal ’em using sealing wax and a custom stamp & it’s the only way it’ll work without paying extra postage. Plus, I like the idea it’ll be sealed up nice and tight and nothing can come undone accidentally. (No, I do NOT trust the USPS!)
We’re buying cheapy ones from walmart for the outer envelope.

I bought 12/2.99 envelopes at Hobby Lobby for our outer envelopes… they have like 5 different colors and are great for a 5×7 invite =)
