Photo Booth and candy buffet. I think this is more popular outside of NY because I have never been to a wedding with a candy buffet and only 1 with the photo booth. I think the booth is starting to catch on here though so by my wedding it will probably be played out. LOL!  Still love it and doing it no matter what!

Fingerprint tree and chalkboards.  Everyone here is doing the rustic wedding with burlap and pastel plaids or the fancy, posh wedding.  Our theme is the school yard.

I want to do the fingerprint tree.

And i plan to do the rustic theme with lace and mason jars.  Only because its is cheap and easy! And yes my colours are more pastel. Pale pink and lilac.

I havent see anyone around here do that.  Only just recently went to a wedding with lace and burlap, but the colours were all different and they didnt have any real flowers for center pieces.

And i think Pinterest is a total culprit in people thinking its been done to death, but most of the time they have never seen it done in real life.

@Earlybride:  Please excuse my ignorance, but do you mind explaining the dying your slip? Do you mean dying the slip you will wear under your wedding dress a certain color? JW bc you said its passé and I’ve never heard anyone talk about this before so now I’m curious πŸ™‚

Photo booth, candy buffet, and mason jars with candles.

I totally agree that these have been done quite a lot online, but I’ve only been to one wedding that had each one of those things (separate weddings), and I’ve loved them when I saw them!

We had a photo booth – saw it a million times online but no one at the wedding had ever heard of the idea and thought it was so unique. I blame pinterest for the insane amounts of wedding imagery out there! I discovered in the last few months of wedding planning and am so glad I’d already done most everything at that point.

Was thinking of doing the candy buffet but it’s more work than I want to put in to get all the right shades of candy.

Would LOVE to do the photobooth if I can squeeze it into my budget!

Burlap, chalkboards, question cards in place of a guestbook, and lots of detail.

How have I never heard of fingerprint trees? What a cute idea! I’m totally decided long ago I want a candy buffet, who cares what other people do, just go with what you want.
