Wow!  I haven’t gotten any of these yet, really, but I am sure I will.  Someone asked me if I planned on losing weight for my wedding (in an insinuating kind of way)… and my extremely narcissistic sister asked if her dress would be shorter than all the other BMs, because she weants to “look better than them.”

@Corilee13: omg, we’re twins lol. I feel the same way: graduated college, working full-time, going to start grad school, traveled (and my FH loves to travel, so it’s a bonus!), and neither of us want kids for another 5 or 6 years. College was an experience by itself, so why do I need more experiences? lol Is there an “experience checklist” that I need to follow?

@jumpthegun: Actually yeah. I elaborated on the part about how she gave up a great guy. She loved throwing that engagement in my face and then she just threw it away and then felt the need to put on there “HOW DARE YOU” attitude towards me for getting married first. Everything with her is a competition. Like if she gets married first or engaged first and since she was born first she is somehow better. She also loves to throw the fact she weighs less than me in my face. She is 5’2″ I’m 5’8″ of course I weigh more. Sorry dealing with her really gets to me.

@misssydneyj: FI and I were together 7 months before getting engaged. I expected some pregnany speculation, but it semmed like I avoided it unil….Two months into our engagement I meantioned having a sour belly to which a coworker replied, “hmm are you late?” I just laughed and said, “you’ve waited two months to ask that, haven’t you?”

@LuluLove: Something similar happened to me. FH and I have been friends for years, and were only together 2 months before getting engaged. I think it was the day after our first real date, I randomly threw up at work (I think it was food poisioning), so my stepdad had to get me. He blatantly asked if I was pregnant. So I think it started from there lol

these are hilarious.  We got three weird questions the day the invitations hit people’s mailboxes.

1. Will there be beer?  This guy didn’t ask anything else or say anything else except wanting to know if there will be beer, (not just alcohol).

2. My husband can’t come so I’m going to bring my three teenage daughters instead.  Not really a question but irritated the shit out of me.

4. I don’t like any of your FOUR entree choices. Can you just have a filet mignon made especially for me?  WTF?

@cutexkitty: Ha ha! I had this same issue!!! My family and Socal friend were wondering why on earth I would have such a distant wedding. Um, perhaps because the bride and groom just happen to be living in Norcal now?

I also have a large number of vegetarians in my family who have asked “you aren’t going to serve tofu are you?” So what if I did?? 😉

I wonder what it is about wedding guests that makes them think it is all about them. Here I was going around thinking this was our day. Silly me!

@Meowkers: “Yes I would happily spend between $60-$120 on a plate just for you since today is all about you and the things you want. How silly of me for not putting that in your invitation.” Seriously…

@Corilee13: I know right?!  and it’s not like we had one option!  We had FOUR options: beef, chicken, salmon and vegetarian.  What is wrong with some people?

People are constantly asking me how much stuff cost. The venue, the dress, everything “how much did that set you back?”

Um. Why do you care? As long as you’re invited and don’t leave hungry I don’t see how much it all cost is any of your concern…
