We picked ours based on the season, the typical weather, the availability of the venue and photographer, and my cousin/BM’s school schedule (she’s still in high school and doesn’t get out until the 3rd week of June usually, so if we’d had it on the 16th like Fiance had originally wanted, she would have had to miss finals to get there, or miss the wedding — either way, not good!). So 6-30-12 it is! I like it anyway, despite its meaninglessness.

Ours was just a day that our photographer was available in the month we wanted that worked for most of my family (who will be flying in from out of state). So it was a bit random, but it’s what I wanted…
I wanted as many even numbers as possible (I have a weird ocd about it..), not too late in April and isn’t the day that Fiance married his first wife. win/win. 🙂

@magz88: Haha me too! September bc of the weather (and my hair)!! We wanted Fall- but not too early (might be too hot) or too late- too cold and close to our dating anniversary/my bday (11/1 and 11/25).
We got engaged last October and were also thinking about spring, and let me say I am so glad we did not go with spring, considering how shitty the weather was this past year!
so 9/29/2012 it is!!

We picked our date for purely practical reasons, but as others have said, it’s meaningful now!

Our’s means nothing at all. We picked it because the venue was free and the azaleas will be in bloom. lol

We picked our date because it was literally the only date open for our venue. It meant nothing before but means everything now that we’re married. 🙂

We originally wanted an October wedding but the only date our venue had availble was too close to the Jewish Holidays. SO we decided on early Nov. until Future Mother-In-Law informed me about the “Circle of Stench” for the 2 weeks on either side of her birthday. Thankfully our venue called and told us that our date opened up. It’s perfect, it falls outside of Future Mother-In-Law “no plan zone” is still before my 31st birthday and far enough from Thanksgiving as to not interfear.
