I’m definitely in the paranoid category now. I’ve noticed how much they’re making tv talk show hosts talk about getting flu shots and hand washing (Ellen and Anderson Cooper mention it EVERY day now). It’s like they’re trying not to terrify people but the more I hear about just how bad it is this year, the more scared I’m getting. Thankfully I work from home, so I don’t have a lot of public interaction or take public transit. I’m pretty vigilant about using hand sanitizer whenever I get into my vehicle after going out, and handwashing at home.
I have a friend with a newborn and two older kids, they all spent 4 days in hospital (even the little one) on IV because of the flu. Poor things.
I definitely don’t envy those of you with jobs where you deal with the public all day every day! Keep washing those hands and taking your vitamins!!!
I work from home so am happy as a clam to sit in my house and stay away from people.
I did catch a cold over the holidays…After my Mother-In-Law hugged and kissed me she started talking about how she just hasn’t been able to kick this cold. It starts to go away and then comes back! I was like WTF?! Get away from me!!
I did get my flu shot…I was sort of on the fence about it. Darling Husband and the doctor totally peer pressured me into it though. Now that it’s so bad, I guess I am happy I haven’t gotten it.
