This is not a serious medical emergency! There is absolutely no reason to go to urgent care because your period is five days late. Especialy during a pandemic. Go home!

You probably just ovulated late and that’s why your period hasn’t shown up yet. Or, the light bleeding you had was your period and it was just a one-off light one. Either way this is NOT something to freak out over at all, it is not something to seek medical care for either. I have very regular cycles, 26 days like clockwork, and a few months ago I randomly had a 33 day cycle. I wasn’t pregnant–I just ovulated late. AF eventually came and my cycle returned to normal after that.

I recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility so you can be educated about how your reproductive system works and not panic needlessly if you have variations in your cycle.

There are so many posts like this.  You must have ovulated later than usual (which happens to everyone at some point).  Agreed with pp, this is NOT an urgent care medical concern.  Go home and wait a week and if your period is still not there take a test.

Totally agree that you need to go home. This isn’t even worth a Dr’s visit at this point, much less an urgent care visit

@Necaaaaa:  If the pregnancy test is negative, you’re not pregnant and the symptoms you’re feeling are not pregnancy symptoms. Sounds like you ovulated late.

@Necaaaaa:  omg WHAT?! You’re in urgent care… During a pandemic for a late period? Take your name off the list and go home. You prob ovulated late or had an anovulatory cycle.

@Necaaaaa:  If you’d said you were experiencing bad cramps and frequent urination, you would have gotten different advice. Instead you wrote a panicked post about your period being a few days late (ironically following it up with a humblebrag about how you “don’t live your life in fear” 🤣).

In any case, glad you got a diagnosis. I definitely hope you’ll educate yourself about your body so you don’t freak out in the future if your period doesn’t arrive right when you expect. Frequent/painful urination is something else and I agree that would warrant a visit to the doctor, pandemic or not.

You sound classy. Again, if you’d written about your actual symptoms rather than framing this as yet another uninformed “OMG AM I PREGNANT” post you would have gotten different responses. Educate yourself and relax.

@somathemagical:  lol right. “I don’t live my life in fear” is usually code for “I’m determined to be a dumbass.”

aaaaand waiting for this train wreck to get closed in 3, 2, 1…
