@BOSOX11: Exactly. Personally I think soon is a couple days–maybe a week! But clearly he thinks soon is in terms of months. It must be nice to know he has the ring though! At least you know steps are happening! I don’t know if my guy is just super sneaky or hasn’t even gone looking yet. In a way it’s nice because it can still be something of a surprise but on the other hand I might stop going crazy if I knew details were in motion!

@Taylor4: We are on the same page 🙂 “soon” I was thinking weeks!  I kinda had my mind set a on month at the most.

I would actually prefer NOT to know he had the ring.  Before he told me, I would think about it occasionally and he would bring it up now and then.  Now that I know he has it…and he knows that I know I literally think about it every day…. 🙁 I guess its one of those “the grass is always greener” scenarios.  but you are gonna be SOOOO surprised when he pops the question and you had no idea he was even planning!

Actually I’m feeling that way today. SO has been acting a little out of the ordinary lately and over the weekend he spiked my curiousity. Saturday he asks me how much vacation time I have at work (this would seem normal except SO has never asked me that before and is the kind of person who does not ask questions unless he intends to use the answer). Then Saturday night we were talking and he said “at our wedding or with our first child” during the conversation.

I’m not reading into it because I could just be “being a girl” and my radar goes off when these things happen. I had started Mr. Bee’s plan a few months ago, keeping the same amount of “us” time but making more time to do things without him (with girl friends or alone). I have not brought up marriage or engagement (other than “aww my friend ____ got engaged =)”, but nothing more than that single sentence) to him at all during this time and actually became fine with waiting.

I think us girls just look for things that might make our “dreams come true” lol. Hang in there!

I had the feeling. My Fiance (then bf), was doing something for our anniversary. He told me he was cooking a nice meal for me. But he was doing so many preparations, that my vibes were very strong. Haha!

I thought he would propose after the meal, but turns out he didn’t cook, he was preparing the place (our room) the whole time for the proposal.

Sometimes i wish i had been more oblivious, so it would have been a total surprise. LOL!

@hot-choc: See we dont have an anniversary (Im not upset about it dont get me wrong 🙂 it just worked out that way that we dont have an exact date that we decided we were official)  but I know we started dating sometime in the spring so I am hoping he isn’t picking some random date to be our “anniversary” cuz I’m not gonna get it or recognize it as a special date….

Sometimes I do. But like you, I mentally slap myself and snap out of it. I think it’s because we get so excited. I also think that us women pick up on things more so than men… So when we feel like ‘something is up’ perhaps we’re picking up our SO’s thoughts or feelings. At least that’s what I hope, anyway. I’ve felt like that before, and I was right: Back in November J was acting a little strange, coming home late from work every day. I thought something was up but shrugged it off… Figured I was going insane. Christmas came around and I found out that my suspicision were correct: I heard from my best friend and husband that J had in fact been doing some research.

Stick to your gut. You’d be surprised how ‘smrt’ it is, lol.

Oh I get this! I got my first taste of this feeling on Vday. SO went shopping for a new outfit,  he sent an edible arrangement to my job, we had a nice dinner at our favorite restaurant were he insisted we get dessert, AND bought tickets for the movie I wanted to see. Although I was pretty fricken sure it wouldn’t happen that day, good grief was I a hot mess! I was nauseous and panicking all day and could barely eat my dinner.  I even had to leave after we ordered dessert to go to the bathroom because I thought for sure he would propose over dessert! I totally checked the piece of cheesecake for a ring sticking out… it wasn’t there. I was so nervous that I actually was relieved he didnt and I didn’t feel like I was going to throw up anymore.
