I have!!

I felt completely unprepared but I went in just thinking I’ll run as much as I can and I completed it! I made a point to not look at the time on the treadmill until at least 5 songs had passed on my iPod. When I finally looked down it was at something like 18 minutes and I was almost there.

Just know that you can do it, and if not, just try again! Whenever I want to stop I just slow my speed down and concentrate on the goal.

Good luck!

I’m on week 4. I just saw your post and was like “WHAT?!?” *Check iphone tracker to see if it’s true*  I stuggled with the five minutes at the begining of this week, but I’m not getting sore from running at all anymore. I guess I’ll just have to stay positive.

So…stephiemarie you’ll have to update on how your encounter with twenty minutes of running goes. Because next Friday twenty minutes and I will be meeting and I plan on kicking his butt.

It’s on.

Oh my gosh. Ladies I made a post about how I’m struggling with week 1 for the SECOND week in a row. I started the C25K over b/c my SO decided to start it and I feel like I’m going to die…I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to do what is required of week 5! Yikes!!! πŸ™

@stephaniemarie: Haha! That stinks you only had one sneaker! That’s totally something I would do, don’t worry πŸ™‚ I’m totally with you on the huffing and puffing, my SO even said something yesterday “Geez…I feel like a cow on a treadmill!” I’m sure people driving by watching us laugh at our flailing arms and red faces πŸ˜‰ I hope I can start feeling a difference in my endurance soon!!!

Oh my gosh, I ALWAYS forget my socks. One day I got dressed and realized I forgot my shirt, I had to put my button up blouse back on and wait for my SO outside the boys locker room to borrow one from him. He always has an extra pair of socks too (he’s an army boy) but they’re just too big.

KansasPrincess, my SO’s running with me too. I always feel like I’m holding him back, though. He just chats away while I’m panting next to him. I think he likes taking advantage of his opputunity to talk with out me interupting.

Ugh. So the boy and I are doing this program together, and tonight is our last week 2 run. I knew he was doing better than I was, but I was proud that I was keeping up!

The problem. He is a baseball player with a torn achilles that he his rehabing right now. He just told me yesterday that at rehab he was able to run 3 miles straight!! I’m barely able to run the 90 seconds and he is already at the end of the program πŸ™

I keep repeating W1 and W2, I’m such a baby.  I just am so struggling that I don’t think I’m ready to go to W3.  If I had been following along correctly I’d be through W4 by now.  I tell myself that it doesn’t matter that I’m not progressing as fast as the program, it only matters that I’m doing it.

I got up to week 6 before life got in the way, and I stopped.  Day 3 of week 5 is hard, but just pace yourself and get into the “I can do it” mindset beforehand.  Once finals are over, I’m going to start again.  I’ll probably pick up at week 4 since I haven’t been out of my routine for too long.  Good luck!!

So, never heard about this until just now, you all have inspired me to start, that and May is national runners month (which I think is just a campaign by a sports store). Anyway I have 5 months until the wedding and I really would like to firm up. I played softball years ago and had great legs now I hate them. So tomorrow starts C25K!
