@bohosioux:  Depends on your cup size! I’ve read a lot of reviews on the sticky bras and the consensus is that none of them provide very good lift for a C cup or larger. I ended up ruling out sticky bras based on my tropical destination wedding and being concerned that I would sweat it off – plus the lack of lift. Fortunately for me, my dress has lace straps and you can’t see clear straps at all underneath, so I didn’t have to have strapless.

If you’re an A, B or small C I would think you’re safe with a good sticky bra. Apparently the ones where only the side tabs are sticky are not so good – they fall off pretty easily. Try to find one where the cups themselves are adhesive.

I couldn’t afford the type of bra I wanted (or rather I’d already bought several options and wasted money on things whihc were not low enough) so i have bought two cheap bras and swed them toegther. It was dead easy and looks neat and not cruddy. I think I want to change before hubby sees, though coz stick on bras are not really the most attractive in my opinion. So

1) get one cheap stick on bra (that comes in halves and clips at the front (so you can have the lowness you desire.

2) buy another cheap bra in the colour and style you desire (like low fronted WITH back straps. Means it is cheaper AND you get exactly what you want. I’d advice with a underwire for support.

3) Cut the back straps off the strapped one. The way I did it was to pull the stretchy back bit as tight as possible and trim by the wire of the cup. It comes away clean with no shredding on seams (you could easily practise this on a old unneeded bra or a super cheap practise one).

4) get some clear/matching thread (I used fireline coz I am obsessed with it as it is see through and strong). and lay the sticky one under the underwired one and sew together. It does help to pin – but I am lazy and don’t ever pin. I also cut the straps off the back part I’d already cut off and sewed it to the back part of my bra to have little straps – I have sleeves on my dress.

My sisters Bridesmaid or Best Man dress is similar so I did the same for her and for both (double) bras it cost me £15.00. They are sticky, cupped and underwired and offer me the supprt I want (bigger boobs) and her the support she needs (she’d recently finished breast feeding and is unhappy with her chest). Ok theyre not the sexiest peices of lingre, but they work. And for wedding night niceness, I think I will just whip it off solo and pop a nice one on before he gets a chance!
