beadingandpearls1 :  I’ve used iuds only, copper,  non hormonal. For 20 years. Removal is minor. Your uterus has adjusted already it takes a min to remove

I had my copper IUD out about 5 uears ago. It hurt coming out, but no way near as painful as it going in.

I just got mine out a few days ago.
It was virtually painless and no spotting or bleeding after. Leading up to it I felt like I might throw up from nerves (TTC#3 becoming a reality! Plus potential pain from removal) But once it was out, I felt 10 lbs lighter tongue-out

I recently got my Skyla IUD out. Obviously it was nothing like insertion. She had me take some deep breaths and then cough and she pulled it out as I coughed. Honestly the worst part for me is always the speculum. I hate that damn thing and the feeling it gives me. When the IUD came out I could kinda feel it sliding through my cervix (weird I know) and then I just had a wave of a bad period cramp sensation and that lasted maybe 30 seconds and it was done. No symptoms afterwards like when I got it inserted. 2 days later I had a withdrawal bleed and then had a full on period on time with my period tracker app I used while I had the Skyla in. I started temping however and I don’t believe I ovulated the cycle that I had it taken out. I have ovulated this second cycle however confirmed by temping. Getting it taken out is not that bad. Just relax and it’s over quickly.
