I LOVE the idea of having a photobooth at the wedding, but I have never seen it done before. I’m sort of trying to plan a formal evening, and I would imagine a photobooth looks insanely out of place in that kind of atmosphere, so I’m hoping somebody can prove me wrong! Did anybody have an elegant/formal/evening wedding with a photobooth, or am I dreamin’? Anybody have pics of how it was set up at the reception?

My brother did! They got married last September. Their reception area was indoors, but he photobooth was located right outside, in the open garden patio area where cocktail hour was. It was super fun and everyone loved it!

If you happen to have a bridal show near you I would highly recommend going and looking at the actual booths themselves. Some of the ones I saw were literally shower curtains going around a chair – I would have been pissed if that showed up at my wedding!

Our photobooth was tucked over in a corner of our cocktail hour space which was attached to the ballroom. Our guests has access to it all night but it was out of the way to where it wouldn’t pop up in the background of any reception pics. Ours was a DIY booth so we controlled how it looked ourselves. We set up some tention rods and used curtains to drape the whole thing which not only gave those in the booth some privacy but it also hid the unfinished backs of the walls so it looked much nicer from the outside.
This is the only pic that I have on here but as you can see, it really wasn’t much of an eyesore…
My only complaint was that I wish the curtain was ironed but that was my own fault. The first time it was taken out of the package was when the guys were setting it up. Oh well.

I liked this one because it was a real photobooth. It didn’t stick out and even if it did… everyone LOVED it!!!
