You will probably get cash and even though you have a registry some people don’t mark the item off as purchased. Some guest will purchase similiar item from a different store.

I think most of your guests will give cash or gift cards. It’s convenient, easy, and worry free. I once gave a boxed gift to a friend of mine, and it turned into a nightmare. Long story short, her husband broke the gift and she then had the nerve to come after me demanding a replacement. I truly regret going through the trouble of getting them anything and wished I would’ve just given money. Not trying to imply anything, just saying that it’s much easier and convenient for guests to just give cash.

A lot of people do the ” random not on registry” gifts.  Say you register for bowls, but They can get different bowls, some utensils, and dishcloths for that same price somewhere else, that’s what they do. I barely got anything I registered for, but got a ton of great gifts!

A lo of people from the NE give mostly money. For our friends that did give gifts,we got most of them on our return from the honeymoon! People totally buy late (even for the shower)

Your wedding isn’t here yet and you’re stressing about gifts? Stop! Enjoy the days before your wedding. A lot of people do things last minute. If they are coming from elsewhere they will probably give you cash. Appreciate the gifts and cash you get and have a lovely wedding.

Weddingobsessed :  I can’t tell if your being sarcastic or not, but I honestly clicked on the board thinking that OP had some really interesting story about tiny gifts. At least I actually added to the discussion – your post is totally useless.
