I don’t have any pics but I know one blogger bee used them on shepherd hooks with flowers in them… and that’s what we’re doing! So excited ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re using them for our centerpieces, filled with white hydrangeas! I was fortunate enough to have several family members with lots of blue jars in their basements. ๐Ÿ™‚ And our colors are robin’s egg blue with green accents here and there, so the color of the jars works really well.

I totally read,

“Anyone using Blue bell jars… most are pint sized…”

And got excited… then I realized you said Blue Ball and were not talking about ice cream containers ๐Ÿ™

I know! I wanted these originally but they are so expensive and basically impossible to findin the uk, so when I stumbles upon this tut- it was fate!:-)

I think you could do anything to fit with your theme too, i wonder what silver and gold would look like? Green and brown would look cool too i think!

hesmywatermelon: Thank you SO MUCH for this link! We were wanting to do small ball jars as favors (filled with candy) and Fiance really wanted to use the old school blue ones, as our colors are brown & blue. But the real vintage ones are FAR too expensive.

@hesmywatermelon- that link is so cool! I was totally going to stick with clear ones (since that’s what someone donated to me) but now I’m rethinking the blue!

Here are my inspiration pics for the jars.  I’ll either be filling them with a variety of flowers from my garden (Dahlias, Cosmos, Daisies, Aster, Poppies, Lavender, Zinnias, and Marigolds) or else I’ll be running down the the farmer’s market the Friday before the wedding and picking up whatever I can find, if I lose my eternal battle with the neighborhood squirrel ๐Ÿ˜‰

Then at the reception, they’ll be grouped together in sets of different sizes with candles on the bar and other random tables scattered throughout the room.

Then here are two other inspiration pics that I loved, but unfortunately won’t be able to accomplish.  The ones hanging from the ceiling- I loved this idea!  I almost asked to switch to a smaller room in my venue because the smaller room had exposed rafters and I would have been able to do this, however in the end it didn’t make sense to give up 20 or so guest for a stylistic choice ๐Ÿ™

Sorry the pics aren’t big on the blue jars specifically.  I hadn’t really considered them because of the price before.
