Use Fertility Friend!
There is a free trial (with a phone app, computer website, and e-mails with several lessons so you know what you’re doing!). After the free trial a few features are missing, but it is still very usable without paying for the bonus features!
I used FAM for a year without getting pregnant. I liked that when I switched to trying to conceive I understood my cycles quite well to try to get pregnant. It took 6-7 months to get pregnant even with understanding my cycles fully and perfect timing.

I have a friend who used/uses the Lady Comp which is a device that you input your temperatures into and it gives you a red or green light for having unprotected sex. Apparently it plays it way safe and gives you like two weeks of options…
It’s pretty expensive, but might be good? Haven’t used it…

FAM still kind of scares me though…I feel like it will stress me out.

I second Fertility Friend. It seems to work pretty well. I am able to get pregnant using it and avoid pregnancy based on my signs. It helos that my cycle is relatively regular though

@netto614 There’s a more sophisticated app called Kindara that will tailor itself to your desire to (a) avoid or (b) pursue pregnancy. They just came out with a sleek Bluetooth basal body temperature thermometer that syncs with your iPhone so you don’t have to type in your temperature every morning.

Thanks everyone! We are in a position where it wouldn’t be a big deal if we slipped up, but we just aren’t planning on TTC right now. I’m not a fan of the side effects of my birth control, so we thought we would give FAM a try.
