I am! And that’s the only part I’m dreading!
This weekend my house is officially on the market and there are two people who might already want it (was a model house in subdv). I had a lease purchase and didn’t renew last month when I told them I was engaged and have a nice bail out clause.
Thus, I’ve been doing a bit of tidying up and painting teeny stuff here and there and will be moving alot of boxes b/w now and friday! If one gets it early and I agree, I might could move earlier and save more $! (one extra month savings would be niice!)
While this is super stressful (I heart wedding planning and its easy to me), T the Fiance is being so wonderful and is doing the whole move thing and getting that orchestrated for me and I’m really grateful for that! Just cleaning up and boxing things up right now. A slow move out from now till June 1. But hopefully I can be out in a few weeks.
I feel like this has taken certain precedence right now, and I cannot wait until we’re under the same roof, move is over, and I can spend weekends hanging out or after work just doing easy stuff..like going to the gym w/him and cooking dinner, and finishing up my diy projects for the wedding!
Who else is balancing this delicate mess with me?
You can do it! I find making detailed lists each day helps me achieve the little stuff.

We just closed on our house about a week ago. So I’m doing the slow move out too! Wedding planning has pretty much been on hold since we started looking to buy however… There’s a lot that I need to look at accomplishing now…. but now we’re doing renovations! lol

We closed on our house on the 30th and moved in last week. Its been exhausting. No wedding planning has happened for weeks, and given the amount of wallpaper we need to take down, it’ll be awhile before I even think about the wedding again. All DIY wedding projects are indefinitely on hold…

Wow congrats on your new homes! How exciting! I’m moving into T’s house, which is alot bigger than mine and can’t wait! It’s lovely. Right now he’s into getting the new wrought iron fence put around the backyard and it has stacked stone corners. Actually pretty. For my doggies 🙂
I understand how it’s hard to plan and move. I’ve just got it set in my mind that wedding planning will come first, and after we get married, then I’ll immediately shift focus onto interior design. His house is what I call “bachelorrifiic” meaning it looks like somebody moved in yesterday, barely lived in, but with nice leather sofas and a big screen tv and his really nice bed. That’s it.

Good luck on your move! Regardless of how exhausting the whole process it, its exciting too 🙂

we’re moving to nyc this summer…probably a couple weeks before the wedding, which is here in dc where we live right now…it’s going to be a little nuts! luckily, i’m leaving my job slowly (i’m going to grad school) and working part-time now instead of full-time, so i have a little bit of a time cushion to help keep everything on track. but finding an apartment that works for us and doesn’t leave us penniless will be hard…

We moved a month after the wedding! Most of the stuff was done by the government but we had to deal with getting our old home ready to rent.

Yup! We are locating to Indianapolis after the wedding…except we don’t get our apartment until a week after we are back from the honeymoon, so we will be shacking up in my old apartment for that week and try not to be awkward in front of my other 2 roommates…

We are! Actually things for us are crazy right now. I got into teachers college (yay!) but we have to move (where to, I’m not sure yet), find new jobs, plan the wedding and get me ready for school all at once. I’m going crazy right now. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one with so much on the go. Good luck with all your house stuff, moving ladies!

We just moved into a new apartment – not as big a task as a house closing, move, etc., but still really stressful on top of everything else! On top of the move, the planning and vendor appointments, full time job, and some health issues I’ve been dealing with, I’ve been in a constant state of exhaustion for weeks. Luckily our parents really helped us out with the move and some of the unpacking, etc. but yeah, SUCKS! I feel your pain for sure.

My fiance just moved from Atlanta to Dallas last weekend and I’m leaving today to move from LA to Dallas. Finally done with the 10 months on opposite coasts! We’re kind of in a down period in terms of planning though – not a lot going on right now – so it really isn’t complicated by the move.

I’ll be moving in August! However, we’re still renting, so it’s not like we have to go through the process of selling a house/buying a new one. We’re actually just moving across the street. But still! It’s pretty stressful! And Fiance will be on an internship in Dallas next semester, so most of the wedding planning stuff happening then (which is going to be a LOT because that’s right before the wedding!) I’ll have to handle on my own!

I am in the midst of cleaning my place to put it on the market asap. I become stricken with anxiety just thinking about it. I live in a condo subdivision, and there are several units on the market. I am not especially optimistic about the situation. I would like to try to list it by owner and see where that goes. If nothing happens by the time we get married then I will either rent it or enlist a realtor’s help.

in late february we moved from washington state to illinois. that def put off my wedding planning for a little bit. my Fiance is in the navy he got stationed as a recruiter in illinois. so with our 3 cats, our laptops, 2 suitcases full clothes, a couple mp3 players and a bunch of other random stuff crammed into our small suv we drove for 4 days while all of our other stuff was somewhere on a semi making its way to illinois also. our move was a little stressful for us. mainly because we didn’t have a house lined up before we left washington. we actually had to stay with my dad for a few days. when we found our house, we then had to wait for all of our stuff to get here. we also had a bunch of plumbing issues so we were without water for a few days. yeah…at that point i couldn’t even begin to think of my wedding plans. but im back to wedding planning and im trying to knock out as much of it as i can as fast as i can. its coming up very very soon!

We are moving also.. but its right after our honeymoon.. We dont know exactly where because Fiance will find out for sure in about 3 weeks where he’s new office will be.. But im getting anxious because we cant really find a place right now so we can start putting out things in there.. and moving a week after our wedding sounds hectic.. oh what are we gonna do.. nothing but wait patiently..
