I’m 26 and I got carded for an R rated movie..To make matters worse I work in a college and I get mistaken for a student all the time…My Fiance is 30 and his looks no more that 17-18. I told him our children will look young forever lol.

I get that too whenever I am not dressed up. I am 27 and most people think I am 18. It is even more awkward when I have my 5 year old son with me – they think he is my brother!

Omg this is the site for me though I’m not getting married soon. I am 26 and peole think I’m in high school. People say I’ll appreciate it when I get older but now it just annoys the crap out of me. I’m also Asian an. I’m 162cm so about 5’3-5’4 which is not short. But people say, ‘youre small” or “you’re tiny” and that is even more annoying. I have this friend that’s 5’4 and she calls me small. How am I small when she’s almost the same height as me? It makes no sense at all. I think it’s cuz I have a young face a round head so people think I look smaller than I do. And younger than I do! Not fun at all.
I try to wear heels to make myself look taller and more mature. But unfortunately I work as a nurse so no heels!

Ugh not another one of these threads… let me guess, 85% of bees look younger than ‘average’. And it’s so annoying, omg.
EDIT: Haha, didn’t realize this was such an old thread when I posted…

I definitely get that all the time. I’m 26 but people think I’m in high school. I moved into a new place over the summer and hired a handymom to install a few things for me. When I answered the door to let him in he asked if my mom was home. Right…

Meeee. I get carded ALL THE TIME and people think I’m 16, but I’m 27. Sheesh!
That’s why when I go wedding dress shopping, I feel like I’m playing dress up. Makes me feel like a fraud! Lol.

I’m not in the age range for this thread, but I am mistaken for a young teen all the time.
I am almost 23 years old, and I am frequently asked why I’m skipping school if I’m out and about when I’m running errands during a middle/high schooler’s normal school day. The other day, I tried to watch the new Resident Evil movie with my 15 year old brother.
They told him he could go right in, but they told me they had to see my ID first.
Whatever. It’s all in the genes, baby. 😉
Besides diet, exercise, avoiding long exposure to the sun, and copious amounts of water drinking to flush toxins from the skin. 😀

I’m 32 AND I STILL GET THEM. BUT IT’S NYC SO WE HAVE TO SHOW ID EVERYWHERE

I *just* turned 30. Apparently 2 of DH’s friends didn’t get the memo. When it was casually mentioned at dinner a few weeks back, they were wide eyed with thier mouth on the table. Complete and utter shock. I cried because they made me feel so old with their insistance that I look so young. Stupid pregnancy hormones.

I’m 26 and I work at a supermarket. I enjoy the occasional beer and so sometimes, when customers buy beer, I’ll ask them about it. At that point I almost always get asked “Are you even old enough to drink?” to which I reply “Umm yeah, I’m 26…” and get incredulous stares.
My mom’s 52 and she looks like she’s in her late 30s, so I’m hoping I’ll end up the same!

When my mom was 30, pregnant with me and with a four year old and seven year old she got carded at the grocery store buying beer for my Dad and accused of having a fake id. It was right after the drinking age changed to 21, but she still tells that story, because she would have had to be an extremely young teen mom to be under 21. She is 57 now and looks 40.
I always get carded, but that is just NYC law, I think I look exactly my age.

I’m 28 and people think I’m a teenager or just out of high school. I tend to get ‘Do you think you’ll go to college?’ and they are shocked when I tell them I graduated college in 2005.
Also, whenever I’d talk about the wedding I’d get funny looks. Now when I refer to my DH I get looks and people are shocked I’m married. I find it really annoying 🙁

I’m 26 and even with the ring, people ask when I am graduating high school, what college I am going to, etc.

I’m 27, have been working at the same workplace for five years, and still get co-workers asking me at gatherings whether I’m even old enough to drink whatever alcoholic beverage I’m holding (half of them are joking, of course). I also get asked what college I go to a lot… it’s always awkward telling folks I graduated five years ago.
I don’t complain though. I know I’ll appreciate looking young a few more years down the line.

I’m 29 and routinely get asked when I am going to graduate from university.
The best was when I went to an art gallery with my uncle a few months ago, and they charged him 1 adult pass, 1 student (16-19 age). I didn’t know until after he told me that I was a cheap date. HAH.
Also, when I bought my wedding dress, I tried one on that was too young for me and I told the consultant so – she was like ‘umm how old are you?’ She was totally stunned when I told her 28. She was like I AM 28! YOU ARE NOT 28!!!!! Haha….wanna see my drivers license!?
