I am currently 29 about to turn 30 in a few months. I get that all the time but recently had a pretty bad experiance….

DH and I have been married for almost 2 years now and We stopped at a gas station to get gas and a few other items. I was in a tank top and jeans…not dressed up at all just yapping away with DH and he picked up a box of condoms and I really don’t think much about that anymore…anyway he asked if I wanted something to drink and I said No…but he grabbed some sort of new beer that has redbull in it and he said he wanted to try it. So I hand him my gummy bears to pay and I was just going to go wait in the car….I turned to walk away when the cashier looks at him with a really disgusted face and looks down at the condoms and the beer…and my gummy bears..lol..(yeah I am sure that really looked bad) and she quickly yells out to me “Uhem…I REALLY neeed to see your DL!!” You don’t even look 18.” Wha?? Lol I told her that I was almost 30 and her mouth dropped and insisted on checking out my DL before we left the store..lol geeze. The funny thing is she never carded my DH…so she must have thought he was some perv or something..haha (I am 3 years older than he is)

I lead the high school girls group at my church. A new girl came and I asked her what grade she was in…. then she asked me what grade I was in.  All the other girls were rolling on the floor laughing. I had to explain that I was 26 and leading the group. 🙂

yeah, i’ll be 30 next april.  i used to think it was annoying, but i’ve gotten used to it and honestly i’m kind of starting to enjoy it…i’m hoping it’ll stick and people will continue to think i’m a decade or more younger than i am in the future.

LOL all the time!!!! Alllllll the tiiiiiime.  Funnily enough, I went through puberty very early and so from 11-16 looked considerably older than my age. Then everyone else caught up and I started looking younger than my age!  Bizarre! Now that I’m married with rings on my hand I get it less because people in my area do not get married before graduating from college, so people tend to think I’m at least 22 now lol

I’m 28 and I often get those comments and I’m used to it. Sometimes it is annoying especially when I’m going to R rated movies, buying R rated DVD at stores, or buying liquor.  This runs in my family. My mom just turned 60 and she looks younger than her age.

I’m 26 & in the same boat.  Aggravating??  Sure, but it’s more annoying when people say, “You’d rather hear you look younger than older”.  Maybe that’s true…but I’m not quite there yet. SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m 29.  When my mom, sis and I got our pre-wedding mani-pedis, the women there were SHOCKED that I was the bride – they all thought I was the sister who had just graduated from college (sorry little sis!)

I do! But I would rather get that than to look older.

I’ll be 27 this year. When I started my new job, everyone thought I was 19-20. I’ve had bouncers smirk as they take my ID and do a double take when they realize that a) it’s real, and b) yes, I was born in 1985. I started college at almost 21 and graduated at 25, and I had a number of classmates think that I was 17/18 when I started (I even had an 18 year old kid try to pursue me for the longest time when I was 23! he thought I’d just graduated high school), and 21-22 around the time I was getting ready to graduate. I’ve had coworkers ask me if I’m even old enough to get married.

I think people sometimes are just trying to degrade you, never take it as serious because it’s going to ruin your life!

Fiance is 28 and gets told he looks my age or younger, I am 23. I guess it works out that I am so much younger than him! : )

I get ID’d all the time because I’m short, with a small bust, and I have a round “baby” face. The sad thing is that I now have the worst of both worlds, because people still question my age and yet I’m starting to look old… I have wrinkles now, and white hair, which I dye obsessively!

@Garnety:  Me! It makes me feel good 🙂 Usually I get 22-23 and I’m 26…people say I have a “baby face”…and apparently REALLY good skin too…
