Looking for some advice please..
Has anyone ever added lace detailing to a mikado wedding dress? I mean actually got their seamstress to sew on lace and not just added a lace jacket or similar.
Below is the dress I am about to say yes to..
And this is roughly the sort of lace I was thinking..
I do think the dress is stunning without it but just wanted to get opinions, I wouldn’t want to ruin the dress so not sure if I should just leave as is?!
Thanks in advance xx

My dress was mikado with a lace top already built in. While I loved the look, I have to say that I think your dress looks stunning as it is, I wouldn’t change it.

Thank you ☺ I’ve tried on others with lace tops but sadly they were either too low cut for me or irritated my skin lol (sensitive skin!)

Please don’t change that dress.

I’m all for lace, my dress was lace and loved it, and it fit perfectly into the winery location/vibe. But your dress is perfect as it. The lack of lace adds to it’s beauty. Don’t add anything else to it, it’s stuning.

Oh no, leave that beautiful dress as is. I would have a plain, very long veil too , maybe satin edged ? and leave the intricacies to the bouquet, jewellery etc.

Thank you for all of your comments
I am pleased to say that I have said yes to the dress! And I don’t plan on adding the lace to it.
I think I am going to have a cathedral length veil, possibly two layers, with a very delicate beaded edge

Yay on not adding lace! It could have ended up looking like a school design project gone terribly wrong. Congrats!
