Did anyone arrive at their ceremony just in time to walk down the aisle? I’ve been in 3 weddings- the first two, we all arrived (with the bride and her parents) five minutes before start of ceremony once we knew coast was clear and no more guests were arriving. The last one, the bridesmaids took a seperate limo, and the bride & her dad arrived at the church just in time to walk down the aisle.
I have the option to do both for my church wedding, and I don’t really know. The 2nd option- enjoying the ride to the ceremony with my dad- sounds nice..
Anyone have any thoughts or advice?

We will all be there prior (taking pictures), but will hide out in the church basement while the guests are arriving. This is the only way I have seen it done, but most every wedding I have been to the party is there before hand for pictures.
I think if you can have a private ride with your Dad, you should. That will be a great memory!!

I would be *terrified* of having something happen and arriving late!

I drove with my Dad (who I am not really close to) just because there was no room in my Mom’s car with the girls. It was not planned, but actually I would have had it no other way. The girls and I met up then at the beach, but the time I had to clear my head and how sweet (as it can be at least in my head) that my father did drive me there! My mom told me I looked “cute” whereas he told me I looked “gorgeous”, weird how he knew what to say. I don’t know if that helps?
