I fall sick often and sometimes even after taking medicine, I still continue to be sick for a while. For those who fall sick often, were you just extra careful around your wedding and did you take any preventative measures?

chillbee29 : I’m worried about the same thing as I have chronic sinus issues and year round allergies lol. I think we will be fine just have to be extra careful and that’s also why I chose not to get married in the spring. There is a powder drink you mix into water (preferrably) or juice called Emergen-C which is basically just a huge dose of Vitamin-C which helps rid and prevent certain illnesses and make the immune system stronger, I drink it occassionally especially if I feel myself about to get VERY sick, and it seems to help a bit.

I was getting over bronchitis on my wedding day, and had just passed something nasty to my husband. He was sicker than I was and we both just powered through it. We slept in as late as we could that morning (no bridal party and my HMUA came to me, which helped!) and our wedding ended early enough that we were back in bed before midnight.

chillbee29 : My Darling Husband was, he chugged some buckleys before walking down the aisle! Then he sipped at his alcoholic drink all through dinner to keep his cough at bay. It’s sometimes inevitable with all the excitement and stress beforehand. Luckily Darling Husband got over it super quick, but then I got sick on our honeymoon lol! Try and dose with vitamin C and was your hands often!

chillbee29 : I would focus on getting enough vitamin C, sleep, and eating well to give your body what it needs to stay healthy! I always get sick before vacations because I stress so much. I’ve found if I just relax and get enough sleep, I don’t get sick! If you’re sick on your wedding day, just plan to medicate as much as you can and go along with the day.
