Well, looks like it’s you and me so far.  I can’t believe you have to go top 8.  That seems so restrictive.

Avocado was a great go-to.  For dinner I’d have a pork chop or chicken breast with veggies and rice or pasta.

Having snacks on hand was key to getting through the day.  I could eat Mi-Del gingersnaps (whole foods), Life’s good chocolate chips and boom bars as well as their “granola” mix (which is really a whole bunch of seeds and berries (and is quite delicious).  Barbara’s bars (cherry) were on my ok list and they got me through a pinch frequently.  I also ate rice chips (Lundberg, I think), Tamari rice crackers (whole foods).  If you don’t have to give up sesame like I did, you can try hummus.  I did lots of different beans like Cannalini beans, pintos etc to bulk up my dinners, because I was often still hungry after eating.

And trust me, I was below my pre-pregnancy weight about a month into the diet!

Good luck pansyshell!

I don’t have much to add, except that you might be able to order some off the speciality foods off of Amazon?  We live in a rural area, and I’ve bought some speciality food items off of Amazon before; it’s a lot easier than planning a whole weekend around a shopping trip.

@pansyshell:  My supply did dip transiently, but it came up after I got the swing of things.  Try the Lundberg rice chips.  They’re pretty good.  If you have a Kroger, they are getting an increasingly good stash of “hippie” foods.  I can get all my Enjoy life bars there in addition to the rice chips.

Good luck!

Not sure where in Central PA you are but a Wegman’s is aopening in Frederick, MD about 30 mins from the PA state line. right off of U.S. 15. My sister in Harrisburg is really wishing for a Trader Joe’s.
