@Ladybug202:  I didn’t buy my dress from http://www.bestbridalprices.com but I did buy a belt from there and I was extremely happy with it.  I am probably going to buy my bridesmaids dresses and flowergirl dress from them.  I have found their prices to be spot on for bridal dress prices at salons and as for the bridesmaids dresses they are actually cheaper.  I believe all their dresses come with free shipping.  And some come with free shoes etc.  I know the wedding party dresses come with a discount on their shoes.

I bought my gown online from bestbridalprices.com, and I was very happy with them.  I would happily purchase from them again.

ETA: Also, I bought my shoes from http://www.weddingshoppeinc.com, and I was happy with them too.

@Ladybug202:  I bought from BestBridalPrices.  You know they have a B&M store, right?  Somewhere in Illinois, if I remember correctly.

I have nothing but POSITIVE things to say.  I communicated with them mostly by e-mail (which is way more convenient for me) but gave them my CC information over the phone when it was time to order.

I spent around $1,300.  For that, I received:  the gown (Allure 8769), veil, rhinestone/crystal headpiece, and shoes (that they dyed ivory).  I’m not sure what their current promotions might offer, but when I ordered, spending >$1,000, I received $400 in “store credit” to use toward any accessories I wanted AND free shipping.  That’s how I ended up with the shoes, headpiece, and most of the veil.  I did end up paying the difference between the credit and the total cost of the accessories.

Shipping was fast.  If I remember correctly, it took about a month for my dress to arrive at BBP, and another week or so for them to ship it to me.  Once they receive a gown from the designer/manufacturer, they check it over to make sure that first, it is the right color/size, and then make sure any details, like beading, or appliques, etc are properly affixed.  The only thing I really should have thought about was a fabric bag for the dress.  The dress arrived along with all of the other goodies, and it was on a hanger, but only in a thin plastic bag (like what you might get from a dry cleaner).

quick side note:  I tried this gown on in one of the local bridal boutiques.  They refused to give me the style number, but did leave the designer’s tag in it, so I found it on the website.  They also quoted a price around $200 more than BBP.  Mark-up was more, and then they insisted that Allure charged an additional $50 for larger sizes.  Which is completely untrue.

All-in-all, I had an extremely pleasant experience.  Their customer service is top-notch, and their prices beat all the B&M stores around me.

@Ladybug202:  Just so you know, bestbridalprices.com is run by an actual bridal store in Alton, IL. I bought my dress there–it’s called Frew’s Bridal. I had ZERO issues with my dress/veil, AND got my dress/veil in ONE WEEK! It was AWESOME. You should use them.

Wow I’m so glad to hear other people say great things about this website.  I had a great experience with my belt so I figured I would have good luck with my bridesmaids dresses as well, but now I’m convinced to buy the dresses from them.  I’d be saving $100 by buying through bestbridalprices.com.  The bridal salon where I bought my dress is charging $100 more for the same dresses.  The only reason I bought my bridal dress at this shop is because I wanted to try on the dress before purchasing and when I looked to see what the price range was online, the store was selling for the same amount.  Plus it was a brand new sample I bought from the store, so I got it the same day in great condition.  Otherwise I probably would have bought from bestbridalprices.

I’m currently looking at a Mia Solano dress from there now!  I think they will be worth another look.

Do you generally allow a month for international shipping? I’m getting married early July. Many bridal shops are giving me a worried look when they tell me the dates of their arrival times.

Thanks for the advice!

My friend went to roughly 6 companies in our area none of the dresses were exactly what she had visioned in her head. Eventually she made it over to HouseOfBrides.com and found her dress after a few hours. Yes, it did take her a little bit of time over there and yes she thought it was going to failure number 7, but it wasn’t. Finally she found her dress and it fealt like a boulder was taken off of her shoulders lol.
