I actually live in the LA area and had the opportunity to visit the Simply Bridal boutique in November. The dresses were beautilful and VERY well made for the price. Seams were straight, fabric was soft and the detailing was fab! I ordered the Penelope myself and will be picking it up on Sunday 1/15. I will gladly post photos so you can see an un-photoshopped version of what a dress looks like on a real woman (i.e. a size 10, not a 2). Grace is the woman who runs the salon and she is a sweetheart! If you have any questions before then, email her and she’ll take care of you too!

Hey now, real women come in size 2s, too! 😉

But in all seriousness, I’m happy to see a positive review! I’d just like to see a little more feedback from other folks before comitting to an online dress…it’s so nervewracking!

10/5/2012 10:50 am – Update

Just received a call from customer service. The sweet-voiced female asked me to send pics of problem areas. Was surprised when I said I already had. She brought up a way to fix the issues, but said she needs to confirm w management, that I will hear back before the end of the day. I am feeling much better now. I am looking forward to hearing back from her later today, getting a good quality dress for my big day, and having the issues be part of the past. I will try to keep this review updated.

Hi. I placed and order w them In Aug 2012 for my wedding gown. Received the dress 33 days later, BUT …

The dress I received came with a number of issues. It obvously did “undergo [the] rigorous quality control process” involving “individually [examinating it] to ensure that it follows [their] strict standards.”  The dress was shipped to me with several black spots, the bow on the dress coming apart, and the bust too big even though I paid the extra $ to have it made to my measures. Via their info email and text on 9/30 I offered to go to their showroom to see how the issues could be resolved. They said they don’t take walkins and that first available appt was in 2 weeks 10/13). Told me to send pics of problems, that we would go from there. When I replied to say the appt worked for me, they said it was already taken and next ones available were a whole week later (10/21). Sent pics to customer service email this past Tuesday 10/2, told them i would take the earlier appt on 10/21. Two and a half days later (10/5), I still have not received a response from the customer service email. However I received yet another email from the info email saying appt I had selected was no longer available, the one two hours later was. 10/21 is 30 days after I received my dress and the end of the 30-day return period. I called the customer service # this morning and all I got was a voicemail. I cannot believe it. At no point has an apology been offered. I feel dumb for having recommended this company to a friend.

Mine just came in today and I had a good experience.  I bought a lesser expensive dress to be used for a ‘dancing’ dress if I get uncomfortable in my lace dress.  I purposely ordered one that was light weight, but still fit the style of my wedding.  You CAN return a dress to simply bridal, that’s the only reason I went through with the order. But you do have to pay 20 dollars (or something like that) to send it back to them. But at least it’s not a large gamble that you can’t go back on…. My only concern was fit, but sizes do run true to department store size and not small like most bridal dresses.  Also keep in mind that it will take around 30-45 days to create and ship, so don’t make it last minute.   O yes, the dress was well made– wasn’t a cheap ‘china’ dress.

Bumping this thread because I’m curious. Are these ‘china dresses’ or not? They act like you can go see their dresses in show rooms and list several cities. But then the links are just stores with designer dresses. I’m guessing they want you to go try the original and purchase their knock off?

I really like their Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, anyone else have experience?

@houstonwhodat:  The store is based in Los Angeles, you can go to the shop and try on samples, I was told they only carried some of them in the store, However, I do think that the dresses are still made in China( don’t quote me on this) I called the shop and I also brought samples of some colors.

I did purchase my dance dress from here, and they definitely are not made in the United States. However, the quality was extremely nice. The dresses that you see online are the exact dresses you will purchase.

@amazingbee:  Thanks! One girl said hers shipped from China so I think that is accurate. They talk about the LA Showroom, but they also mention to try dresses on in a variety of cities. When I click on Houston and read the language, it sounds like they aren’t actually their dresses. This would make sense with your explanation…

@Vintagekay:  Would you mind posting pictures? I’m so nervous to order from there but I’m reallly leaning towards it, espcially for the bridesmaids.
