I purchased mine through http://www.efavormart.com. If I had planned better then I would have picked them up from Bed Bath & Beyond during Thanksgiving/Christmas. They have already started putting them out by me. Just bring your 20% off coupons.

@lampshade127: Hi, how many and what kind of chargers did you buy? I’m looking to split the cost with a Houston bride. Thanks.

I bought 120 but I have since sold them all. They were $2 each at the time but I don’t know how much they are on that site now. It is $10 for a pack of 6 at BBB- so $8 with a coupon. Good luck!

@lampshade127: Was it hard to sell them? And you think after Thanksgiving is the best time instead of after Christmas? Thanks.

I’m in DC – I bought mine from Macys (http://www.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=92883&cm_mmc=Google_Feed-_-6-_-75-_-%7Bkeyword%7D&kw=%7Bkeyword%7D ) and know I’ll be selling mine.  (I bought 92 when they were on sale for $10 for 4, which I gather with Macy’s happens often….and will be selling 56 of them).

It was FAR cheaper for me than renting them.  I’ve seen them in the Michael’s circular for $2 each as well.

I would say to check craigslist. I got mine for .50 cents a piece (200 of them). I periodically check craigslist as that is where I get the best deals locally. I am picking up chair covers, 100 dollars for 100 of them!

@Corykru: No freaking waaaaayyyy!!! On CL? I wouldn’t have thought that. By The Way, what’s the difference between the beaded and non-beaded? I think I like the beaded but does it make any difference? They are going to put a plate on top of it.

I don’t know that it was hard but it didn’t really happen instantly either. It all depends on how much you are wanting to sell them for and if you’re willing to wait it out I think. 2 brides ended up splitting my 120 chargers but both were in Houston. At the time, we made frequent trips to other Texas cities so I was willing to meet somewhere on our way but no one took me up on that for the chargers (I met 2 another brides in the Dallas area for other decorations though).

I would probably just go buy the chargers now if you have the space for them. I’m guessing that the stock of them will deplete as we get closer to holiday festivities where people are hosting a lot. How many are you wanting to buy?

@lampshade127: I am thinking of over 200 🙁 And I don’t even live in Houston. Maybe I’ll ask my sister and mum to start stocking up for me.

@bRooklynRocks: lol yeah, craigslist has been amazing for me. Sometimes there is nothing, sometimes there is TONS of stuff. Just gotta keep checking, which gets a little old after a while lol. I personally like the ones without the beading better than the beaded ones…but thats just my opinion lol.

I checked craigslist but my issue was that chargers can be scratched easily depending on the quality and the ones in DC that I found were matte/scratched.

So alas….

but checking CL or the holiday circulars is a great way to buy them.
