We bought over 400 gold, beaded chargers at 3 different Big Lots.  They came four to a box and one of the Big Lots had theirs on sale.  They averaged out to be about $1.30 each.

Depending on the color/when you need them, there will probably be a ton of sale after christmas in gold/silver.  I know Target has some now too – not sure how much!

Good luck 🙂

@lehami2: I’m getting two different things here. One says before holidays, one says after holidays. When do you think it’s the best time to buy them? Thanks.

I purchased mine at Wal*Mart last year around Christmas. They were 4 for $5.00. I didn’t want to wait for a sale because I wanted to make sure that I got all that I needed. I didn’t want to take the chance that there wouldn’t be enough of them after the holidays.

If you wait until after Christmas you run the risk of there not being enough for what you need.

I purchased mine off of a girl from Weddingbee Classifieds section. $1/plate.  Which is a really good price.

Def don’t pay more than $1.50/plate

The beaded ones just have little ‘beads’ (more like bumps) around the edges of the plate, they look a little more ‘formal’ in my opinion.

I didn’t wait because I wanted them….and I have gift cards to Macy’s.  I paid $190 with shipping for all 92.  they’re in a box and it’s done!  And if I see them cheaper, I have the receipt and can return ’em!

you won’t save THAT much money between now and after Christmas but I’m sure it’ll be a relief if you find them all in one place for a good price!  Can’t beat THAT!

But you can always keep your receipt in case of price matching or returns.

I have been looking into it, I want to get them for next summer but it looks like food service warehouse places have really good prices too.

I purchased my chargers from dollar store & if you have them delivered at a store versus your home, you don’t have to pay for the shipping! WAY better, especially if you’re on a budget and for a doller! I wouldn’t pay more than $1.25.
