As long as the length of our dress isn’t an issue, why not get the shoes first?!

For me, it would’ve been a bad idea since I ended up needing 1.75-2 inch heels or the dress would’ve cost me another $500 to get a custom hallow-to-hem length.

I bought my shoes first. And had no issue, I had to get length added no matter what dress I got. I think you should be fine with those shoes.

I did and was actually told by quite a few dress shops that it’s not a bad thing to do it that way. Shoes make such a difference to your posture.

I did.  I bought my wedding shoes before we were even engaged. I loved them and knew they would match any dress I chose.  and they did!

Love the shoes! I used a pair I had for years so naturally they were purchased before the dress.

@Marryanne007:  Something like that, but some for a 5’10 woman in flats and some with heels on. I am just shy of 5’8 and the salon told me the dress would be the length for someone 5’7″ with 3 inch heels (so 5’10”). Since my dress was hallow-to-hem lace with princess seams, the dress could not be shortened and I wanted it longer, I’d have to pay for the extra length in the specific length I wanted.

I bought my shoes a few years ago and never wore them. When I began wedding planning I searched and searched for shoes, before dress shopping, and realized I had the perfect pair. I wore them to all of my dress appointments and it did affect how I stood in dresses.

Those shoes are beautiful! I can see why you bought them. It helps to have on shoes when you buy dresses anyway. Unless you are super tall, it should not be a mistake.<br />I bought my shoes before my dress, but I also knew I was buying a tea length dress. When I went to try on dresses, all the ladies at the bridal shop loved them bc they have cat faces on the toes!
