I’m a nursing student so I have a clinic ring. It’s a floral etched band without any stones. I don’t want to get gross germs embedded in a stone so I use it when I go to the hospital. I bought it on etsy.

I don’t have this type of engagement ring (all precious metal) but some of my friends do and I love it! I will have an all-precious metal wedding ring 🙂

My wedding ring is recycled, eco-friendly silver and copper mokume gane. I do have a very small, simple e-ring, but it’s going to become an occasional RHR after we’re married as it doesn’t match at ALL and I prefer to have a really unusual, wide, stand-alone band.

@MrsSnowMountain:  Oh wow, your two rings are so different. One is so delicate and vintage, the other bold and original. So cool 😉

I know a few women here in Toronto who also prefered the wide stand-alone wedding band. It’s practical and beautiful.

@NikkyS Aw, thank you! Yeah, I knew as soon as I got my e-ring that nothing would go with it, so why even bother when I could have two totally different looks! And I was never around women who wore wedding sets anyway (my mom sometimes wore a band but more often, nothing), so I guess I didn’t grow up seeing it as the norm anyway.

I love seeing rings without stones. i don’t have a photo of my bands alone, but they are metal only.
