We didn’t, but it’s customary in asian cultures to pick an auspicious date.

I don’t think you’re crazy at all! Even though I’m not Asian, I follow Chinese astrology rather than Western. So it was really important that we get married in a Tiger year (which just ended) because I’m a Horse and he’s a Dog (not in looks of course:) We made it under the wire and no, it definitely can’t hurt πŸ™‚

@Evie19-it looks like a good year for most of us because it’s Dragon year which is one of the best signs. I’m kind of bummed that I wasn’t born in a Dragon year. I’m a fire horse (and a Scorpio on top of that-yikes:) which doesn’t occur very often and in China it was once considered so unlucky to have a daughter born under that sign because they were impossible to marry off. So, they would often kill them at birth. Nice, eh? I guess they took their astrology pretty seriously. Thank goodness times have changed. Lol Oh, and you and your Monkey are an 8 on the compatibility scale (out of 10) so that’s a very good match. Well done πŸ™‚

I don’t think you’re crazy- I love astrology! We didn’t choose our wedding date according to astrological indications, but I actually AM considering trying to plan our first child that way, if possible. I would like to have a child born under a sign that is compatible with mine/us. πŸ™‚ Who knows if that will work out, but I actually have thought about it!

According to our birth dates etc a handful of October dates is the way to go… leaving out every other month all together lol Oh and apparently, May is bad luck in general?
