(Closed) Anyone convert a zip-up to a lace-up?

Post a picture. Normally its pretty simple to change to a corset back, and more difficult to change from a corset to a zip up.

If the style is discontinued, you might be able to order the same overall fabric but not the lace, since they usually use the same fabrics for all of their dresses.

I had it done for another dress, it was only $50, and the lady did a great job!

Davids Bridal quoted me $200 to switch from a zipper to a corset, local seamstresses have quoted around half that.

@gangqinjia:  I think it depends on how much of a perfectionist you are. I would take it to a seamstress, but thats because I wouldn’t want it messed up. If you trust your mom to do it than its worth a shot. You could also bring the kit to a seamstress and see if s/he will do it for less since you are providing the materials.

@gangqinjia:  Yea theres no harm in getting a quote. It might cost less than you expect.
