(Closed) Anyone currently doing the insanity work out? Tips?

I finished it in January. It’s really hard. I’m actually doing P90X right now, but I still substitute P90X’s plyo workout with the Insanity plyo workout because the Insanity version is a lot harder. I love it, though. It improved my cardio so much in a short period of time, and the workouts go really quickly. 

Don’t skip or cut the stretching. There are so many plyo moves, and your body needs it. Also, make sure you embrace the recovery and rest days. I know a lot of people are tempted to do more on the recovery day, but it’s important to give your body a chance to heal. Even though it’s a recovery workout, it’s still hard.

Don’t feel bad if you’re taking a lot of breaks. Shaun T. wasn’t kidding when he named the program Insanity. Even the actors have to take breaks, and I’ve heard some of them had done the program multiple times. 

Good luck! I think you’ll love it. Insanity is my favorite workout I’ve ever done, and you feel so accomplished once you finish the two months. It’s so, so worth it!

@countrygirl62312:  Date twins! I love Insanity. Actually I hate it too but when I’m done with a work out I feel great. I started in November but I just had the videos from a friend. I didn’t have any paperwork or the plan that came with it. For about a month and  half actually till the end of December I was just doing random videos until I heard one of the promos after the video talk about their website where I was able to print the exercise plan. Since January I started from the recovery week and wow! I haven’t lost much in weight but I’ve converted it to muscle. I have lost A lot of inches of my body mainly my stomach. I just have a bit of love handles left but I have some time till the wedding and I plan to keep on doing it till then. I feel much better about myself and my fiance appreciates the change. It sucks when you first start but it gets better plus you can take a break if you’re dying. Jillian Michaels tells you to suck it up. I started with Jillian Michaels but she was taking long to see any results. I had been doing it for months. Insanity just burned my fat down. Now I am on the last week of the 2 month plan and I plan to alternate between Jillian and Insanity after I’m done. Just start and don’t give up. Once you see it working you won’t want to stop.

I Love the Insanity Workouts! I never made it it to month 2, but I did complete the 1st month of exercises and each week I became stronger and could do more! I even wore my bikini in public when we went to Hawaii last August 2011.

You will love it and hate it at the same time… but dig deep and the rewards will be awesome.  I am actually restarting it this week.  I do not do the workouts 6 days, but I am commited to 3 days a week!
