I ended up buying a used belt from preownedweddingdresses.com, but before that I planned on making it using trim from MJTrim.com – they have an amazing selection of stuff (click on “Trims and Braids” and then “Beaded Trims”)

It depends on how big your waist is, but if its less than 36inches you would only need one yard. This one is $59 a yard (which is one of the most pricy and elaborate) but is SO beautiful! http://www.mjtrim.com/Catalog/Product/239/44327/44327.aspx

Once you pick the trim just tack both ends to a statin ribbon of similar width from Joanns’ Fabric with a few stiches and you’ve got a sash!

Good Luck!

I made this…

It’s not exactly the same but it’s close. It’s just rhinestone banding. It is beautiful and really sparkly. I am selling mine (1 have 2 half yard sections, one with ribbon and one without). PM me if you are interested in purchasing it.

Hi! My Ella Bridals dress came with an off-white beaded belt (beads and crystals) that I didn’t use and want to sell for best offer. My dress is a size 6 and the belt has a circumference of 27 inches when the clasp is shut- but the clasp is definitely adjustable. If you wanted to change the sizing it wouldn’t be a big deal, the belt is double layered, so you wouldn’t be able to see where it was unsewn and resewn.  There is a lot of room to make it smaller and an inch to make it bigger. It is 1 5/16 (just over 1 1/4) wide and 3 1/4 inches at the widest point. It’s considered off-white (it’s bridal off white, so really pretty white). I also have an extra yard of satin fabric that matches my dress. Let me know if you are interested! Thanks, Kristin
