bump!
I DIY’ed all my centerpieces and my bouquets. Most of the flowers were silk/coffee filters though. The only fresh flower was the baby’s breath.
We did all our bouquets/bouts/centerpieces with flowers from the grocery store (that we ordered ahead of time). The BMs made their own and mine was a collaboration.
We got a quote from a flourist – the flowers I wanted (that I thought were simple) were going to be over $3000. Wow! So yeah, we DIYed it. We purchased bulk online and spent about $600. Which is still a lot! But it’s $2400 less than the other guy.
Practice DIY Flowers (as a run-through to make sure I could do it)
Wedding day results:
And we planted 105 succulents (goblets came from thift shop, spraypainted silver)
My mom and I made mine last night! We got everything from Hobby Lobby, maybe $50 supplies included. Super happy with it!!
I did fresh flowers as well. I felt so legit arranging my own bouquet 😉 And it totally impresses your guests to say you did it all yourself!
I ordered from Sam’s, and Fifty Flowers. I have to agree that fresh flowers can be just as cheap as silk and they just look so much less hokey imho….
You bees are so amazing! I’m totally inspired and wanting to make my own bouquet too now.
They were a little tricky to arrange. I did them laying flat on a table and used oasis foam floracages.
My sister held them up when I was done to help me make the final adjustments.
They weren’t too hard to hang, just used some wire that attached easily to the floracage and hung it off the arch 🙂 Needed an extra set of hands for that tho! lol
