keevolpi:  Yes, unfortuneately you do need a membership to order from Sam’s.  My mom has always had one so I lucked out ๐Ÿ™‚

There are two pink flowers that I used, both from Fifty Flowers: the Mayra pink garden rose, and salmon peony tulip (this one may be renamed now tho…)

Most of my flowers came from Michaels. The calla lillies came from afloral.com, and a local flower shop that had some great silk calla lillies (in the perfect size that I needed for bouts!)

skylar84:  Its soooo tempting to want to do this myself…I worry about the logistics of it all like how soon in advance I can do them, storing them, transporting and then setting up…lets not forget DOING them RIGHT?!?!?!? haha

Can you share your timeline and how you executed this task and how much stress it added to you!?!?  haha

harleybeachbride6:  Those are all valid worries, but with some planning ahead of time I think you’ll be able to feel confident and not too stressed!

6+ weeks out: figure out what flowers your’re going to order and what arrangements you’ll be doing ( you can use my spreadsheet to help: http://diyblooms.com/free-flower-worksheet/&nbsp๐Ÿ˜‰

2+ do a trial run: buy similar flowers to what you ordered from a local grocer and try out your bouquet and centerpiece while watching tutorials. this will help you be much less stressed the day of!

1+ week out: make sure you have all the supplies you need (flower buckets, florist sheers, floral tape, wire, flower food, vases etc)

2-3 days before the wedding: receive your flowers and ‘process’ them so they can rehydrate and start to bloom

1-2 days before the wedding: arrange the flowers that will remain in water (centerpieces, bouquets – just don’t wrap them yet)

0-1 days before wedding: arrange things that will not be out of water and are more perishable: bouts, corsages, garlands

Hope this helps!  And make sure to designate some flower helpers ๐Ÿ™‚
