Anyone make their own veil? I’m going to attempt it. I can sew: blankets, shirts, skirts, and dresses and am hoping a veil won’t be too difficult. It looks pretty easy, but you know how it goes it may not be as easy as it looks.
Show me pics of your beautiul work!
Do you have any recommendation of what to watch out for, mistake wise?

I made my own, but I just did a simple drop veil and held it on with some pretty hair pins that I purchased at glamgal.com.

My mom did my sister-in-law’s veil, and she will be doing mine. I’m not spending $200 for that! That’s ridiculous! It’s a piece of fabric, sometimes not even with a finished edge. Total rip off. Mom did it rather quickly, and I couldn’t tell it wasn’t purchased. She’s skilled in the sewing area and can do things from patterns, but she’s not a seamstress, and she found it easy. Doesn’t hurt to try at least ^_^

This is not mine, but my SIL. My friends mom made it. And she is doing mine as well. It was based off a $1200 veil she found. I think this one cmae in around $50-75 (we had to buy all the flowers). My friends mom just enjoys sewing and stuff but doesn’t do this professionally at all. She said they were rather simple. I wish I could offer more advice.
Good luck and can’t wait to see pictures.

I’m making a detachable blusher for my veil, although I may still just end up wearing my veil as a drop veil instead. Just waiting on the velcro for the blusher. Cut the tulle a few days ago… it was really easy. Much easier than I expected, actually. Looks good, too!
