lol! Youre not alone! Im doing a retro wedding as well. We were thinking wedding color taffy in bags. I am also having the escort cards be instead bottles of soda with the guests names and table numbers on them. I suppose if you were able to find good old fashion soda you could give those as favors. Our table numbers are instead small horror movie posters from the 50s. My fiancee loves 50s horror movies so we picked table titles like “The Creature from the Black Lagoon” and “The Fly”. We shall have the guests sign vinyl records instead of a traditional guest book as well.

Hi Bees!  I’m also doing a retro-inspired wedding, but more on the rockabilly, late 50s-early 60s side, with hot rods, pin-up girl make-up and hair, Mad Men-style fashion.  Our colors are black and white polka dots, with red accents (red shoes, flowers in hair), flowers, and centerpieces.  For dresses, check out the Vivienne of Holloway website for ideas- super cute swing skirts in all kinds of retro prints (including polka dots!).  It’s in London, but it will def inspire.  Also a must is Dolly Couture, which is all tea-length retro style wedding dresses.  LOVE retro, and with the poplularity of Mad Men, there are lots of ideas out there now, plus it’s timeless.  Happy planning!

@Liss13: Liss13, it is a lot of fun, and I think most guys can dig it (what guy doesn’t love pin-up girls and cars?).  Just something to keep in mind, there is a VERY fine line between this theme being classy and cool versus costumey.  🙂

I actually found it on eBay. I’ve seen it on other sites but found the best deal on eBay!
