(Closed) Anyone do maple syrup as wedding favors?

We didn’t use maple syrup as favours, but we served it over ice for our guest :). We did this in lieu of favours.

Are you getting local maple syrup? That would be awesome! I would keep them at small sizes so out of towners who are flying with carry-ons can keep the favors in their luggage.

I think it would be a nice idea if you made it yourself or if it had some significant meaning.  I mean, yeah, I would definitely take a bottle of maple syrup (and one per couple would be plenty, depending on the size of the bottle) but it might be confusing to some since it’s not in the winter/fall, and if you don’t live in a New England state or make your own it would just be like buying something because you didn’t know what else to get people.  That’s just my opinion.  I’d still like it, but it would be a little strange to me.

Bored6:  I think it’s a really cute idea 🙂  My cousin did honey for her favors and I think they were my favorite favors to date.  I would buy little ones and have enough for everyone to take one. Something like this:
