You ladies are totally motivating me to start P90x again! I started in late January and did it for the first phase then decided it was too hard to meet up with our friends every single day to do it together. We all stopped and I was planning to just do it with my husband, well he bailed on me and I just wasn’t motivated to do it on my own πŸ™ I tried to start it again and I was just so bummed I ever quit! I felt like I wasted everything I had worked for. Well after ready about you amazing ladies I REALLY want to start again! I was doing Classic, I may try the Lean program this time around to see how it is. πŸ™‚

Don’t forget you ladies are AMAZING! πŸ˜‰

@stbMohror: Go for it!!!  I really like the Lean program, although I have never done the Classic so I can’t compare.  I just like that it mixes in a lot of cardio.  You go get’em!!

And totally agree…everyone posting here is amazing, and a great motivator!!!  Love it~

@brandylynnp

I thought it was really weird that the Classic program didn’t have Cardio! I didn’t even notice it right away but I was pretty bummed about it! More reasons for me to be excited about starting the Lean program I guess haha πŸ™‚

I just started week 5 of the lean program today. I’ve always worked out regularly – like 5-6 times a week, but needed something new and more challenging and something to help get rid of the extra holiday pounds! I’m really enjoying it because it’s something different everyday and I’m really motivated to get to the end of the program.

Like other PPs, I’ve gained a few pounds, which was really discouraging at first, but then I remind myself its muscle weight. I’m hoping after this phase I slim down more.  I’m mostly noticing change in my arms – they’re starting to look more defined now. I’ve also noticed that my strength and endurance is up. At first the Ab workout killed me and I had to take breaks, but now I can keep up with them. And the yoga was tough in the beginning too. It still is, but I find I can hold the poses longer than in the beginning – and I don’t dread the 90 min as much as I used to! I definitely recommend the program!

I haven’t been able to finish the Yoga workout… ever! (OK, so I hate it so much that I’ve only tried it three times even though I’m now in my fifth week.)  You all just might encourage me enough to try again!

@stbMohror: Most definetely, and keep us posted on how you are doing!

@Beena: Isn’t it good to hear that we are not alone in gaining in the beginning.  I am in recovery week of Phase 1, and just lost my first pound! YAAY!!!  Although it is a pound down from the 1.5 I gained, so almost back to starting weight.  I have to keep telling myself, if is the change between flab and muscle, stop looking at the scale.  And I totally agree with you, my arms were the first place I saw a change, and same with me on the Ab workout.  The first time I was like “Yeah, right”, and now I can hang…so something must be working.

@miss jenny: Too funny!  I can’t get my Fiance or 16 year old son to do the yoga with me…Probably because they are afraid… LOL

@Mrs.Oat: Hang with the yoga, it will come.  This was the easiest part for me, but that is because I have always done yoga ona regular basis (at least 3 days a week), even though, this is the hardest yoga workout I have ever done!!  My sis, who sometimes works out with me, struggled with the yoga a lot at first since she has never really done any, and now can go all the way through without any problem.  The more you do it, the longer and lower you will be able to go.  Don’t worry about matching anyone, just do the most you can do.

Love all the posts!!

Just curious, do you ladies wake up in the morning to workout or do it at night?

@stbMohror: I work out as soon as I get home from work, before dinner.  There is no way I could get my butt out of bed 60-90 minutes early to fit in a P90X workout in the morning.  πŸ™‚

We got off our butts last night to do the “back and biceps” workout yesterday. I thought I was going to be super sore this morning but I’m not! Does that mean I’m taking it too easy?

On the bright side, yesterday’s workout also included that dreaded Ab Ripper, and I got through 48 of those last twists. Fell over before I could eke out two more.

Im doing it right now! You really do have to stick to the program though, any alteration or deviation and youre done for. It’s really hard, but overall, the results are worth it! Ive lost 5 inches in my waist so far! I’m also blogging about it right now, and I say if youre on the fence, check out some blogs. They give you a really good idea about what the program is really like; non-infomertial style. Good luck with it! And if you need any motivation or support, contact me anytime ; )

@Mrs.Oat: Way to go girl!!!  You don’t necessarily need to be sore to know you are getting a good workout.  I am a firm believer that your soreness is more based on your nutrition than your workout.  I don’t get overly sore, but I supplement to make sure my muscles have the ‘fuel’ they need to heal. (becuase I don’t eat well enough without supplementing)

@jgundy: Way to go!!!  I finished my recovery week of Phase 1 today, so 2nd round of pics and measuring will happen tomorrow.  Wish me luck!! πŸ™‚

@MrsBrightSkies: Good luck! Be careful though, Recovery week feels nothing at all like a break, its one heck of a workout! Definitely want to see how you do through all of it and your progress
