you will have smokers at your event. They will provide their own flame and be willing to share with others. Although, to be honest, I cannot remember what we did – probably the smokers and we also had lit candles on the cruiser tables, so that helped.

We did. We tied together 2 sparklers and a match book, since most people come as couples.

Have a few large candles outside and some of those lighters with the long barrell.  Your coordinator will probably take care of the rest.  I bought some of those long, fireplace matches, but she didn’t seem to think we needed them.

You’ll also need a bucket of water or sand to put them out…at least that’s what I’ve heard.  I’ve never held a sparkler in my life, but we’re having a sparkler exit.  πŸ™‚

Don’t forget to get the extra long ones! you want them to last more than a few seconds in order to get good pictures!

We used 20 inch sparklers, which have a longer burn time. Our venue is use to doing sparkler exits and they handled the details of getting them lit. But I believe they used some smaller 6 inch sparklers to light the larger ones. πŸ™‚  They also had buckets of water ready to put out the sparklers after we were done.
