Starting week 4 today!

I still can’t make it through a full workout without stopping and taking a few extra breaks. Should I keep going, or do week 3 again? I’m afraid I’m not going to be fit enough for the Max month 🙁

@newloves1975: I say keep going as scheduled and take breaks as you need them. The second month is hard, but what matters is if you’re pushing yourself. If that means you have to take breaks, that’s OK. You’ll see even the people on the video take a lot more breaks during the second portion of the program.

For those who have finished it – do you mind sharing a few ‘before’ and ‘after’ stats?

We’re on week 7 now! I can’t believe we’ve stuck this out. I’ve only missed one day and that’s because I ran a half marathon that day so I think it’s ok.

I’d say stick with it and keep going on week 4. Week 5 is recovery and is a little easier. The second month is hard, not going to lie but I can already tell a big difference in how I’m doing things between last week and this one.

@OrchidsandCandles:  I haven’t lost a ton of weight, probably only about 5 pounds, but I’ve lost around 3 inches off my waist and 2 on my hips! The other day I had my arm out kind of flexed and I scratched my bicep and was like WHOA! Where did that come from? I have muscles I have NEVER had before! It’s kinda cool!

We are 1/2 way through week 2…week 1 I could barely walk, slowly getting better, but I too have to take more breaks than on the dvd, but I am okay with this. You all have me scared for the 2nd month!

@jtsing:  Month 2 is crazy! BUT, now that I’m on the second week of it, it doesn’t seem nearly as crazy as last week! I think it’s kind of like in the beginning. When we first started, I was like oh my gosh, this is hard! But then as it went on, it got easier and easier.

I feel like if I can get thru 6 weeks, I can definitely get thru this whole thing!

Hey bees, I just got married on May 4th. We had a beautiful wedding on a beach in Hawaii, and then spent a week in Maui alone. We were both so excited for this trip, obviously 🙂 and I had bought 3 bikinis to wear. When we looked at our pictures, we were both extremely uncomfortable and disappointed – we looked soft and flabby and it freaked us both out. We knew we had to do something. We are both 27 and not ready to give in!! While we were relaxing in our hotel, the Insanity Infomercial came on. I was totally hooked – the idea of a cardio-focused, results-oriented program that makes the most of your time really appealed. And to think you could get such extreme results so fast!! I convinced my new husband to try it out with me and we bought it from Wal-Mart. It is definitely KILLER. We are on day 11 tomorrow. Eating pretty carefully, as much as is reasonably possible for 2 full time working people who get 8 hours of sleep a night. I agree with others that the meal plan is really meant for someone with a personal chef! But we have cut out the sweets and treats, the heavy carbs and trying to incorporate more fruits, veggies and lean proteins. I am feeling pretty frustrated today because the work out feels great and I know I will have results if I perservere, but it’s a TON of work, and what I have noticed so far is that my jeans are tighter and I haven’t lost one pound. It’s scary to think all this work might not pay off??? Any thoughts from any one else doing Insanity? I want my tight jeans to be loose!

@Robin_Sparkles:  Thank you!! I am looking forward to making it through the whole 60 days! Is Plyometric Cardio Circuit listed in week1, the same as Cardio Circuit listed in week 2’s schedule? We didn’t see a different disc so did the Plyo cardio.

@miss narwhal:  Thanks for the advice! It’s smart… getting discouraged by something like weight is not really reasonable! In the long run, it will all make sense I suppose. Good habits make good results, and nothing good comes easy right???!!

@jtsing:  Yeah it’s the same thing. I have no idea why it’s listed different on the schedule. It confused us too!

@funkymunky85:  Yeah, don’t focus on the scale. I’ve only lost like 5 pounds but I have lost inches and am definitely gaining muscle! Stick with it, and make sure you’re eating right and drinking LOTS of water. It really does help.

I was doing so good! But last week I was super busy and didn’t work out at all 🙁 I know I’m gonna be hurting tomorrow after I workout today. I feel so guilty for skipping.
