I did it.. I was a little bit worried but it all came together amazingly. I specified a color scheme (nude/champagne with some bling) and the length (short). I just asked everyone to text me a picture when they found something so I could OK it.

I loved how mine came out. I had three colors and twelve different dresses they chose from. I chose length and material.

jonandjessgetwed:  I would never have put those together, but they look amazing!!! Did they coordinate with each other at all when buying them?

Im going to do a mis matched look as well, but I think I am going to pick colors and then let the girls decide dress shape (though I have specified long). Right now I have bridesmaids living in three different states almost 2,000 miles apart from one another so hopefully it all works out!

My girls will be mismatched. They will all be long, black, & chiffon (and with straps–Catholic Cathedral) but not by the same designer, etc. I think it will look fine! Like this:

We’re doing black dresses with v necks, but the girls get to pick them! I love mismatched dresses, my only 2c would be to decide on a common length for *some* continuity in shape. (all long v all short)

I let my brideamaids pick out any dress they wanted, as long as they were navy. I was actually hoping for a mix of long and short, but they all ended up going with short. They were all very different though and I love the end result- I also love that each one felt comfortable in the dress of their choice!

I mismatched and it turned out awesome! I said gold/champagne floor length with some sparkle and my ladies didn’t disappoint.

These are great photos. I’m doing mismatched, but only have two BMs. I just can’t see myself putting my ladies in uniform when they each have great taste and totally different personalities. My only rule was it had to be black. 🙂

I gave my Bridesmaid or Best Man guidelines: navy or cream or some combination, structured, no bling, no chiffon, no lace. The rest was up to them! I OK’d them before they purchased it. So far I only have one Bridesmaid or Best Man left who needs to find her dress. These are what they’re wearing so far!

Giving my girls the option- dresses that look good on one might not look good on the other two! Especially since my son to be step daughter is only going to be ten (Jr bm). I think coordinating colors and dresses that flatter each girl will work best.

smoocheepoo:  countrygirl2009:  Thank you!!

And no, they didn’t coordinate together. But here is a suggestion that helped them also – I did a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress Pinterest board and shared it with all them so they could see what I was envisioning. I pinned like 40 dresses that I came across. Some of the girls actually ended up buying dresses I pinned.
