I’m curious, because it seems like most people grow their hair out for the wedding, but I’ve always had short hair in my life.
After getting engaged in October I went to get my hair trimmed for photos and SHE TURNED IT INTO A PIXIE CUT because I’m stupid and I went to Hair Masters.
This is the length of my hair since then. (I’ve had to cut the back off so as to not have a mullet) I’m sorry for the awkwardness in the photo. i do not take selfies.
This is shower-last-night hair.
This is what I want to do BAM
My hair is super thick too.

I also have had short hair and I am struggling… struggling to grow it out ;-/
I love what you want to do ! ! ! ! Especially if you have thick hair, I say go for it.

My hair is ultra-awkward right now. I have about two months to grow before I absolutely have to get a trim for wedding-day-ready hair.
I got a pixie just before Christmas and have been taking biotin since, urging faster growth. I am getting mullety.
I have a Grecian-ish dress, which I think looks good with ’20s-inspired hair. I’m going for something like these styles:

I’ve got a pixie and hell no am I growing it out! I love my pixie. I have a 1920’s style dress with lots of beading, and plan to wear a side tiara to jazz up the hair a bit.
Sorry the pics seem huge!

Yay for short hair! I don’t really ever want to grow my hair out. I feel much more like myself with a pixie and I’m much too fickle to be able to deal with all of the awkward stages that accompany growing it out. For the wedding, I’m probably just going to wear my hair how I normally wear it and throw a short veil on for good bridal measure.
My hair currently:
@DarthBetty: I have thick hair as well, so I feel your pain. I think your hair will definitely be long enough to pull off a vintage-y pin curl style and it will look fabulous on you too!

@jmarvellous: sO cute
I was debating the finger waves, as well. They are so darn beautiful.
I love Pixie Cut wedding ladies, I never see them here in the south. The trend here is dyed long blond hair for weddings.

Yes! So glad to see other short-haired brides! I went short last May and I can’t see myself ever going back. My hair is currently ear length (kind of like the OP’s, but straight) but next appointment I plan to take the plunge and get a full pixie. I suspect I’ll love it, but if I don’t I’ll have 6 months to grow it back out to ear length.
I love all your inspiration pics! I can’t post any because I’m on my phone, but I’m especially loving the pixies that Moll posted. I think I shall ‘steal’ them for my own inspiration. B-)

I have to admit that if I could pull off a pixie cut without looking like a boy, I’d do it in a heart beat. Some women just rock it!!

I have a chin length bob and had a photo shoot the other day when I had it done like this:
I’ve also had it done in an “up do” type look for a party:
Not a great shot but shows kind of what can be done!
ETA this is my hair normally (with a fetching party hat)

Everyone told me to grow mine out, but I’m dead set against it! I’ve had short hair for years and I felt like I wouldn’t look like ‘me’ on my wedding day if I grew it out. I’m wearing a floral crown 🙂

I love everyone’s short hair! I recently cut mine even shorter in December. Here it is 1 month post-cut (end of December) and then again about 1 month ago (mid February).
I’m hoping to have it about the length it was for our engagement photos (which were taken in November) by the time our wedding rolls around this fall.
All I really want is for it to be short and curly. Theses are favorite inspiration photos thus far (#1 is the top left).

@flying_hearts: Love your inspiration pics.
My hair is so puffy and stringy/ragged at the same time, I’m worried that even with my magician of a hairstylist, I’m still going to be out of luck. She’s encouraging extensions, but I’m just not sure that’s wise.

I’ve got super fine hair, so my hair looks best when it’s in a short ,layered bob. I’ll be doing a 1920’s type curl/fingerwave to it to make it look more fancy.

Ooh! Pick me!! Here’s my inspiration 🙂
