I was thinking about starting P90X a few months before the wedding. I know I’m no where near ready to start now. I’d only hurt myself :P. I’m glad to see some positive opinions on it! I’m excited to get in shape!

I am doing TurboFire and Les Mills Pump. Here are my results from doing a round of TurboFire! If you’re interested in either or want more details – send me a message 🙂 Or check out facebook.com/FiredToGetFit

I really want to try Insanity but I live in a fairly small house with creaky floors, so I usually work out in my basement, which isn’t too big. I’m just wondering if this workout requires a lot of room to move around in.

i’d say an area about 10×10 would be sufficient really. i would do it an area about that big, perhaps a bit smaller to be honest.

thank you!! Believe it or not, our basement is even smaller than that (our garage takes up a good area of the basement), but I think I just might give it a try! Thank you again!

I agree with luvbug, one thing about Insanity though make sure you have enough jumping room. I did in the basement, my space is a bit larger than 10×10 but my ceilings are low. So when a move called for jumping, I had to hold back to make sure I wouldn’t hit my head while jumped.

I am on Day 3 of P90X (Lean) and I’m pretty sore. :p I tried to start a few weeks ago, but only ended up doing 3 workouts a week(every other day) for two weeks. That’s because I was super sore. The last day I worked out I pulled my left bicep, because I tried to push myself too much on the weights. Took time off to recover and just got lazy. I finally made my self start it up again the other day, and I’m already feeling better.
I’ve also used a few Jillian Michaels Dvds too, and they are great. When I did 30DS last year I lost 8 pounds, and could definitely tell a difference. I did 6 Week 6 Pack and lost 4 inches off my waist in 3 weeks.
Haven’t used Insanity, but if when I complete P90x, maybe I’ll give it a try.

I’ve done P90X before, but I quit after a month. It just got SO boring and repetitive! Plus I actually GAINED weight. Might have been muscle but I don’t know… I felt ravenous all the time.

I found that eating totally healthy and eliminating breads and fried food REALLY helped. I started to eat very healthy and lost inches fast. In my case, I only wanted to lose 10-15 pounds so that helped but definitely whatever program you want to get on, make sure the diet is healthy also. Goodluck! xoxo wish you all the success

@radar: I’ve been doing Cathe Friedrich XTrain. It has tons of work-outs and pre-mixes. You could buy it and not have to buy another dvd. You circulate between strength training and interval training. I LOVE it and it builds your stamina really fast.
