I did a 3 day juice cleanse and lost 5lbs (and I’m in the healthy weight range for my height).  The founders of Blue Print Cleanse wrote a book about cleansing and I bought it.  The recipes are fantastic.  You aren’t starving because you are drinking massive amounts of juice and water all day. 

I’ve done a juice cleanse twice.  Both times, it got rid of bloating and changed my relationship with food.  After the cleanse I thought a lot more about what I was putting in my body.  They tell you it isn’t a weight loss plan, but both times I lost weight.

When I did Atkins for a very brief period, I lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks.  Basically, no carbs or fruit.  It sucked, but desperate times calls for desperate measures.

I have had A LOT of success doing Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet in two weeks.  The best part is that the weight stays off if you resume a healthy diet and exercise routine.  Here are the guidelines – no carbs, no alcohol (I cheat with 1 glass of red wine a couple times a week and have not had adverse effects).

Breakfast – lean protein and 1/2 cup+ of vegetables (cottage cheese and tomatoes and fresh basil, scrambled eggs with a side salad, asparagus and spinach frittata…).  You can have small amounts of cheese.

Lunch and Dinner – lean protein and at least 2 cups of vegetables (salads with hardboiled egg, grilled chicken and roasted vegetables, marinated flank steak with chick pea and feta salad, vegetable soup…).

Two Snacks (these are required – you are never supposed to feel hungry) – 12 almonds, string cheese, deli meat roll-ups with mustard, hummus and vegetables, edamame…

If you NEED dessert you can have one small piece of dark chocolate (like one Dove Promise Dark), but only go there if you really, really need it.

I crave bread and goldfish crackers like no other when I do this, but it really works.

No supplement is a replacement for diet or exercise! YES, you will see some weight loss right away by using the Lady Soma Detox, but it will be slow and at a lower level, unless you watch what you are eating. The first time I did the Lady Soma Detox I lost 3 lbs RIGHT AWAY, but then my body got used to it. Now it has been easy to maintain this weight . . .
