Seriously, I’d rather put hot pokers in my eyes than go shopping for clothes. Now, if it’s for anything else, I’m all in…LOL! But, I HATE looking for clothes, in particular, pants.
UGH! I am not a skinny model. I must accept this, but the world keeps showing me things I like and so I must venture out and discover only “they” can wear “that.” I have been cursed with some chunky thighs that I inherited from my mother (awesome.). I hate them. If they would go away (GET OUTTA MY LIFE! LOL) I’d be a size 4 everywhere and flaunt my booty all over this place! But, they continue to stay….until I get enough money to suck them out!
Which brings me to my point in this post….
Anyone else have the absolute “joy” of shopping and trying on like 1000 pairs of pants, jean, crops, capris, whatever and not finding any that actually fit?? I’ll tel ya, I’ve had enough of size/style confusion! How can I wear a 6 in one style but a 10 in another IN THE SAME STORE??? And if I want to pay more, I wear a smaller size at more expensive stores. And then when I do find something that fits the stupid manufacture changes the style!
Sorry, needed to vent. Been shopping all week for a vacation. And no, I don’t want to talk about the 10 pounds I’ve gained since summer! GAH! That’s why I had to go shopping in the first place!

@TheFutureMrsLamkin: Jeans are the worst. But I found one brand that I love and I stick to them. But I still have issues with them too. Since I have junk in my trunk and some very generous thighs the waist of my pants never fits quite right. And I always have that gap, and the fear my crack will show when I bend over.
Other than that, I LOVE clothes. A little too much….

I hate shopping. I hate spending money and trying things on. I only get pants when I absolutely have to, and even then I buy online because I know what I like and need.

I with you on this! I HATE clothes shopping. I would rather walk over hot coals. I have a short torso, a short inseam, a large chest but an hourglass shape and big feet. Pretty much nothing fits off the rack, I have to have it tailored!
The only thing I enjoy shopping for is purses. I’m a purse lush, I have over 30.

@Mrs.tobe: Oh yes, they’re the one thing I can buy that doesn’t have to fit my body!

@TheFutureMrsLamkin: I enjoyed it when I lost all my weight. I hate it now because I gained some of the weight back. I refuse to try anything on in stores. So, I underestimate my size these days. I’ll just stick to what I have for now, I guess.

YES.YES.YES. I have to be in a shopping mood – or else I’m just wandering around thinking “everything is soooo ugly”. Sometimes I force myself to pick things out and go into the dressing room and try it all on and hate it all. It’s really rare for me to find something and think – OH, that’s SO cute!
I think part of why I hate it so much is my body has changed and I don’t know what looks good on it and I haven’t figured it out. Shopping when I was heavier was actually easier because I know what cuts/styles were flattering to my bigger shape. Losing weight has proven to be a challenge when it comes to shopping because there are so many other options and nothing seems ‘right’.

Ummm Fiance wishes that I hated clothes shopping LOL.
I know what you mean though. I’ll see an outfit somewhere and love it…on the model. It’s always disappointing when it doesn’t look wuite “right” on me.
Shoes are the best 🙂

Okay so I’m not the only one!!
@Mrs.tobe:I can only buy jeans from Express, but they keep changing their styles which really annoys me (and the price!) I got the chunky monkey thighs and a small waist AND I’m tall. So combine that all together and it equals abosolute hell shopping for anything waist down. Well, except for socks and shoes.
@futuremrshc:I LOVE PURSES TOO! I have several Coach bags that I can’t believe I bought…wish I had that money now! I like to stop in thrift stores to check out what bags are there. Nothing like getting a new purse for $3!
@DesireeAnne: I know what you mean! I was like super skinny this time last year and now I’m feeling chunky butt! And I’m pale. So I went tanning to feel skinny again….LOL!

I wouldn’t say I hate shopping, but it can be a very frustrating experience at times. i also have gained weight recently, and I have a somewhat unusual shape (big boobs, small waist, huge hips).

What I find particularly frustrating is that I have all these amazing & stylish outfits planned in my head, clothes that actually look fabulous on my plus size frame, but I can never find anything similar in the stores. So I end up wearing t-shirts and jeans when I really want to rock out in cute sweaters, skirts, boots, etc.

@TheFutureMrsLamkin: I absolutely loathe cloth shopping. I cannot stand it. When it comes time to buy new clothing, which sadly comes often with weightloss T_T… I am in and out in the blink of an eye. “Oh this looks nice.” Try on, a little big or snug big deal I’m out. I just cannot stand shopping for clothes. I don’t like trying on pants too much because my behind is pretty flat =( so they feel so baggy and weird back there.

I hate shopping too! I’m a pretty small girl, but I have a shape to my body too. Clothes in my size don’t accomodate any shape. Jeans have no room for a butt, and if they do the waist is too big. Shirts are usually to big in the chest, or to tight. Nedless to say I usually end up buying clothes with some sort of stretch in it which also means they don’t last as long.

So happy I’m not alone here! LOL! This is interesting….I was in Target yesterday (one of many stores..LOL) and I can wear sizes 4, 6, 8, and 10 in women’s and 9, 11, and 13 in junior’s BUT I actually need the “missing” sizes….ya know, the one’s they don’t make in each department…lol And Old Navy is fun to shop in as well….I finally found some capris there in an 8 after trying on every songle style they had….ugh!
And shirts?? SIGH! I have no boobs either (I sound like a hott mess…LOL) So again depending on where I’m shopping, it’s either XS, S, or M. And they have to be long too….I’m tall with a long torso….can’t have a shirt that just makes it…gotta do the “sit” test to see if it rides up in the back!
I’m totally spending some money someday on boobs and liposuction….HA!
